Moltar
Hello, This is my first post on B&C, so I wanted to share with you my latest completed mini. This is my take on a SW Scout. Lone wolf, out on his own recon mission. It's an older scout model that I find still works just as well as the current ones, despite not have any actual SW parts on him. This was also my first real attempt at achieving a weathered/damaged look with out hacking at the mini with an exacto knife. You can see my WIP blog here: http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/319675.page Let me know what you think. http://images.dakkadakka.com/gallery/2010/11/18/156674_sm-Bolter,%20Scouts,%20Snow,%20Space%20Marines,%20Space%20Wolves,%20Warhammer%2040,000.jpg http://images.dakkadakka.com/gallery/2010/11/18/156675_sm-Bolter,%20Scouts,%20Snow,%20Space%20Marines,%20Space%20Wolves.jpg http://images.dakkadakka.com/gallery/2010/11/18/156676_sm-Bolter,%20Scouts,%20Snow,%20Space%20Marines,%20Space%20Wolves.jpg

Race Bannon
Ya, I'd think camo too if it weren't for the marks over the yellow stripe. The metal Scouts > plastic scouts imo. Very well done.
Moltar
@Magic Man: Thanks! It actually wasn't that hard to achieve that weathered look, just time consuming. You can see it step by step at the link above in my original post. @Greatcrusade08: It is actually supposed to look like battle damage, but I can totally see how it looks like a camo pattern. Either way, I'm glad you like it! @Race Bannon: I agree with you on the metal scouts. Even the most basic sculpts still had a lot more character. This was the last scout I had in my box from the original set. Way back when I got the set, I also grabbed the scouts with bolters and the scouts with sniper rifles and painted them all up in a Dark Angels scheme. This SW scout was the last original one I had left. However, I do have the metal scout with a Heavy Bolter and he's the best looking mini out of the bunch imo. Thanks, for the compliment on the paint job.
