Paint mixing

Hey everyone. I'm working on a new color scheme for my army, and I've decided I want a sea green type color.

I bought a thing of Snot Green and a thing of Game Color "Jade Green".

Will these paints mix? How much should I use to mix?

If it is valejo game colour it will mix fine. Try 50/50 mix. Personaly i would use a very dark green like orkhide shade and mix with white. Just experiment. Make sure to post your results.

Wouldn't use white as that can create a pastel color. A lighter shades of green to highlight or adding a bit of yellow to lighten can work.

 

Jade Green is a little more toward the blue side. What chapter scheme are you going for?

 

 

I use Vallejo, all their paints mix well together. Can't say for mixing with other brands beyond getting coats of wash.

 

Remember to shake them well before using and add a couple of drops of flow-aid into the mix.

I've been mixing GW and Vellejo paint on several occasions and never ran into any trouble. I think you will be fine.

 

But yeah do as hkm said, shake very well before use, since I found especially Vallejo colors tend to segregate a lot and fast.

I'm working on a custom chapter. I think I'll water down the Snot Green, and add a mix of Jade Green and Orkhide. I want to it lean towards the Jade Color.

I did a small test, and the Snot Green was a bit overpowering.
