Hello everyone, Im new here to the boards, and to 40k!

I live in a small town, and just found a hobby store literally across the street from my current residence. Its a small place run by a couple of cool guys, and they really got me interested in the game, not that I wasnt already curious about it already. Ive picked up the Assault on Black Reach kit, and an extra space wolf pack, and am still putting together my first models.

Ive decided after reading some backstory and lore, I really am going to make my first army space wolves. Any tips for a newbie to the game, or to SW, would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Welcome Brother! I am fairly new here too (just joined a few days ago, hehe).

One tip I have for you as you are assembling and getting ready to paint, is to not completely assemble your models before priming/painting them. At most, I would attach the legs to a bas, the torso to the legs and the head to the torso. Paint those up, along with the still separate arms, weapons, and backpack, and then finish assembling the models. It will save you the hassle of trying to paint some of the details with an arm or weapon in the way. I know this from experience, as I completely assembled my Necron army, and then found I had quite the time trying to paint the chest glyphs and/or tubing on most of them, as well as the insides of their weapons.

However, I think the most important piece of advice I can give you is this; have fun! ;)

Cheers!
