Lemainus
The pictures were all taken without flash - and I now regret that, seeing as they all came out... dark and yellowy. I might re-up some photos later, because these are, well, meh. Anyways. I am still excited and will throw the squad upon you, brothers, poorly lit. Lemainus
Re-upping, then. It looks so much better with flash. I read somewhere that flash can wash out your models - I guess the same can be said of 60 watt overhead ceiling lighting! He was blown torso from legs while performing a holding action, and Tomaz, his brother, was part of the reinforcements they received. So strong was the fury and zeal of Tomaz, that Baphamet found the strength to stay alive long enough to be born again into the sarcaphagus of a dreadnaught - and in his passing into new service, gifted his brother with his old weapon, so as to keep the oath carved into the housing true: that it purge the galaxy until the sun sets on the imperium of man. (Hence the banner - the empire will never die. The gun will blaze forever.) Tomaz and his AC counts-as HB; so he's legal, if your opponent is down with Rule of Cool. Oh! I can hear you wondering "why would a guy with a chaingun carry a knife? And an upside down knife, at that? Well! The gun is so big, and the recoil so strong, when not wielded by someone in TDA armor, Tomaz has been known to 'lay anchor', if you will, before letting the bullets fly. He also functions as a kind of portable gun platform, what with the enormous durasteel shield he had installed. Also, the guy dual-wielding his bolter and a plasma pistol is my counts-as Combiplas. His mag is dry and he's going to pop a shot off before switching out.

Hexenes
Bunch of voyeurs around here, I guess. They look good. I'm not usually a fan of purple on marines, but you have pulled it off quite well. I really dig the AC counts as HB, on the model as well as the fluff. Good work!
Lemainus
Thank you! I wasn't sure how the purple would work out either, when I started the force. I was hoping I would not be channeling the Artist Formerly Known As, so. It's good to hear I hit the mark. :P
tiny sam
The purple work great, and those guy realy look like triky bad ass veterans but I totaly dislike the "shield" on the assault canon/heavy bolter, it look way to cumbersome and unbalance
Lemainus
Yeah, I fought with the idea since it would add weight to an already weighty piece of equipment... but in in my head it just seemed so cool, to have the heaviest weapon and fire indiscriminately from behind what's basically portable cover, using the auspex display as a targeting system. (I wouldn't actually try to make cover saves in a GAME, that would be totally lame of me. But in fluff and theory it sounds pretty neat.) but in the end I justified it with the knife in the off hand, and the idea that before he commences firing, he literally has to embed it in something before letting her rip. In hindsight though I wish maybe I'd cut down the barrels of the weapon so it wasn't QUITE so bulky. Finally, thank you for the compliment on the rest of the squad - I'm glad you like them!
