Ullr Direfang
I love fluff, it is the reason I play the armies I do. I do how ever like to add my own twists, like "Wolf Lord Direfang" ( model and minorly revised fluff coming soon). But my twists are with in (at least to me) the fluff that is already writen even if you have to go to a few different locations before finding all the answers. Stormbrow II
I like the fluff. It feels soft on my bum when I wipe. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/216468-you-and-the-fluff/page/2/#findComment-2584239 Share on other sites
Beef
Fluff is the reason I collect wolves. I hardly play at all now. I just read and then paint and model. LPetersson
Fluff is all! Having said that, my mates know that I play a fluffy, but hard army. What I consider fluffy, sure, but still fluffy. Valerian
Fluff is important, but not so important that I'll let it force me to make what I think are poor army list choices. For example, I havent been using Blood Claws in my 5th Edition games. I know that they are in Ragnar's Great Company, but they are fighting somewhere "off-table" with the other 120-140 members of the Company that aren't fighting "on-table" with me and Ragnar. On the other hand, I've had great success by ignoring the Internet approved solutions and going with what I feel is a more fluff-appropriate list. For example, I've never taken more than 1 Rune Priest, I almost always take Ragnar, I take large Wolf Scout Packs geared for close combat, I take a mixture of heavy weapons in my Long Fangs Packs instead of all Missile Launchers, I don't play any TWC, and I don't use Rhinos or Razorbacks (just 1 Land Raider and up to 3 Drop Pods). Each of these choices tends be the opposite of any recommendations that you would get on the army list subforum, but they haven't cost me a game yet. So yeah, the fluff is important to me, but it is my own interpretation of the fluff that really matters. Wolf Lord Fenrir
So yeah, the fluff is important to me, but it is my own interpretation of the fluff that really matters. V Pretty much sums my approach up. I use whichever seems right to me at that point - never more than one lord or one wolf priest though. I'll sometimes take two rune priests - one with master of the runes, and one lvl 1 - his skald.
