Dwarfkernow
As you have seen in my post I am putting together an Ultramarine and White Panther apocalypse force with a Grey Knight army lurking to make up some more points. As previously posted my first company currently consists of 30ish terminators. I would like to include Captain Agememnon and with him a command squad. However to make the army rule legal what do other brothers use? onipunk
I might be wrong (and the chances are very large that I am), but I think only Deathwing armies can take a Terminator Command Squad. If I was you I'd visit the Dark Angels board or just look around for examples of Deathwing Command Squads. Dwarfkernow
Thanks Dark Link In that case i will have a look, I really think that a termie apothecary and standard would be cool leading the first company. hazardousZERO
The thing with the deathwing isnt a command squad. All they can do is have one member of the squad take a banner. And they can have another be an apotchary, the dex is old and outdated is some areas. Like the apot the squad doesnt get FNP all it does is lets one wound go ignored. The other thing is the DW squads are only 5man no more. Good thing is you can mix up weapons like a guy with a TH/SS with a CML but thats really all there is. Hope this helps. Dwarfkernow
:P Thanks Hazardouszero I think I might convert a standard bearer and apothecary and do a count as Standard Bearer =Stormbolter and power weapon (Sgt) Apothecary = Stormbolter and Chainfist Not sure how I would cover the company champion, I just think having a large termie force with a PA armoured commnd squad would look a little silly. I might have to look at the apocalpyse data sheets that GW produce. Again many thanks for the assistance Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/216469-how-to-do-a-ultramarine-terminator-command-squad/#findComment-2581120 Share on other sites
Foda_Bett
Here's my take on the special termis: Banner http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v314/Foda_Bett/40k/Space%20Marines/1st%20Company/IMAG0047.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v314/Foda_Bett/40k/Space%20Marines/1st%20Company/IMAG0435.jpg Apothecary http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v314/Foda_Bett/40k/Space%20Marines/1st%20Company/IMAG0041.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v314/Foda_Bett/40k/Space%20Marines/1st%20Company/IMAG0168.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/216469-how-to-do-a-ultramarine-terminator-command-squad/#findComment-2581146 Share on other sites
LardO'Blood
The only way is to use Deathwing. The apothecary is under rated, it is really quite nice to be able to ignore a wound. The company champion can just be the sergeant with an especially awesome looking power sword. (I'm thinking 2 handed power sword with the storm bolter laying on the base) There is nothing wrong with a 5 man Deathwing squad. That is the size of a command squad, and, since it is apocalypse he can mix and match codexes (depending on who he plays). Be warned, ask your opponents if you can use the new CML and TH/SS rules if you are going to use either! (If they say yes, then a nasty thing to do is give a 5 man TH/SS squad a CML) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/216469-how-to-do-a-ultramarine-terminator-command-squad/#findComment-2581167 Share on other sites

Have not looked at the Dark Angel codex so not sure whether they have any special rules that would not be suitable for Ultra's. Am up for seeing some more Terminators as i have the AOBR ones at the moment and am keen to see what other brothers have done or are planning to do. This is what I have managed to do so far http://i853.photobucket.com/albums/ab95/bjkernow/upload251110005.jpg http://i853.photobucket.com/albums/ab95/bjkernow/upload251110007.jpg I have noticed that the extreme highlighting is a little thick, will have to sort that out http://i853.photobucket.com/albums/ab95/bjkernow/upload251110003.jpg In time I would like to be able to field an all 1st company force. As already stated would love to see othe termies for inspiration  Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/216469-how-to-do-a-ultramarine-terminator-command-squad/#findComment-2581318 Share on other sites
