breng77
My favourate is a terminator sanguinated sgt with 2 LCs (6 attacks on the charge). Not bad for a 40 pt model. The problem here is that the sanguinar improves a random sargent, also you need to consider that that termi is now more than 40 points as you had to pay the almost 300 points for the sanguinar. shatter
I'm pretty sure anyone reading this knew what was implicit. But, to derail this thread and discuss what you're intimating... It'd have been more accurate of me to say I was paying more than 40 points for the 6 attacks although the model presenting them only cost 40. I use terminators, TDA priests, reclusiarch and the sanguinor. I occasionally field Dante ( changing reclusiarch for TDA chappie) and sanguard with them as troops, so as the terminator sgt is the only sgt on the list, he automatically gets the blessing. The 25% to 50% more (glaive/LC/PW/TH) attacks the sanguinor is responsible for generating is worth more than the points of the fraction of the sanguinor's cost responsible for the buff. Does this make the models effectively cheaper than normal based on price per attack? Yes, it most certainly does. So, following that logic, the phantom models (only evident in additional attacks) bring the average price per model(+phantoms) down... while he's still alive and proximal. The best way to ensure these 'phantoms' survive, is of course to use 2+ 3/4/5++ units with FnP all over the place and to ensure output quality is to use models with glaives/PW/LC & THs. I think it's sad that hardly anyone uses this as, at least in my meta-game, it's very powerful. The Sanguinor is also crazy powerful with massive DCs in Apoc. Crazy powerful.
