Hello, I am gluing together my land speeder.

 

I am wondering what weaponds to put on it? I am planing on using it as a mobile melta platform, but should I just take one meltagun, 2 melta guns or a meltagun and a flamer? I am having a hard time deciding. I do not need the autocannon or the missile launcher as I already have a lott of long fangs.

Multi Melta and Flamer is suposed to be the most common choice, but personaly i go with Missiles and Heavy Flamer. There is no reason to have more Missiles and HF is for those who insist getting that close to typhoon.

For the Tornado pattern I prefer MM/HF myself. It's really just up to your own preferences. The Typhoon I arm with a Heavy Bolter because if I need troop killiness it can fly 12" fire the heavy bolter and 2 frag missiles at S4 blast as support weapons. The synergy just feels right that way.

Yeah, my friend is using his landspeeder with missile launchers that way. However, I am a fan of plasma and missile launchers but I need some melta delivery systems. And the land speeder seems to be the best way to do it.

 

I really have my fast attack slot quite full. If I want anti infantery I can take the thunderwolf cavalery. I just wnat some good precise melta and the land speeder is cheaper then the melta dread and the sueside drop pods. I currently have 4 wulf guards with cyclone missile launchers, so I really need the melta function. But paying 10 more points for flamer is the deal? No use giving it 2 meltas?

 

I realy do not want to pay 40(?) points for the missile launchers when it combo's so bad with the melta.

I don't personally like having 2 multi meltas on my speeders for the fact that they don't usually survive very long to even be able to fire both of them in 1 go without some very clever manuevering. You could just go on the cheap and take a 3 speeder squadron with multi meltas, and you could always magnetise your weapons to have any option you wanted. But my personal favorite is still MM/HF as it's got an armor punch, anti-infantry punch, and it's only 70pts. And on several occasions i've popped that transport, pinned the unit inside, then torched them with the heavy flamer on the following turn.
