Heya guys, my name is Tom, I'm from Belgium. New to this forum. Just started a new Imperial Fist project. Would be nice if I could get some tips and feedback from you lot ;)

Still some seperate figures en walkers, not yet really full units. Photos were taken in GW Antwerp (not the quality of pictures I would have liked, but still ok for a mobile phone :P )

cheers

uptil now these are all the pics i have, but i have still some completed models that i need to take pics of, got lysander almost done as well as the company standard bearer, just finished a razorback. Right now i've converted 3 shooty space hulk terminators and made 'em cc. should be done in a month or so as the average painting time for 1 fist is +- 20 hours and i don't paint that much :D

Hey Tom, welcome to the site! Your are fine Fists indeed! Those whites and yellows are very enviable. Let's hope you are more patient then I was with painting the yellows, I wouldn't mind encountering that army accross the table top :D

I see you're a fan of the clean look as well, outstanding job!

Tips? How about you give us a tip and tell us how you did that yellow, I'm really interested as that looks simply stunning.

Other than adding the same level of depth to the metallics of the weapons as you did to the yellows whites skins and purity seals, I don't think there's any criticism of these. Please, more?

Magnificent. Very vibrant colors, yours is one of the most crisp and well shaded yellow i've ever seen. Those are models you can be proud of.

Would you mind to give us the way you paint your white? I would love to know how to shade like that :)

Thanks a lot and congrats!

wow thx for the comments fellas :)

ok, for starters i never basecoat with white or black, i just paint the yellow areas macharius solar orange, the white areas astronomican grey and metal areas boltgun. I then wash the entire model badab blacK

then its all highlighting (the entire model that is :P). for the yellow its macharius - lianden darksun - 3 thin layers of golden yellow - 50/50 golden yellow/skull white, always leaving a bit of the previous layer shining through. this is extremely much work (as is said 20 hours a model), but the result looks nice ;)

for the white its astronomican - badad black wash - again highlighting stages codex grey - astronomican grey - 2 thin layers of skull white

as you can see it's not very difficult (well maybe the golden yellows because that's the most annoying colour ever made) its just a lot of patience and a steady hand :)
