Crimson Fists project

The Blue Buddha

Been a while since I took a crack at painting....

Anyhow, I just grabbed up an airbrush from the local hobby store. Nothing fancy mind you, but I figured it would save me quite a bit of time in the long run. I was intending to use it to paint solid colors quickly but after a goof up in the mix I found it makes some pretty awesome highlights. I add a wash on the finished model and viola! In the future I'm going to pick up a much nicer airbrush and compressor, but in the meantime I'll keep cranking out models for my Crimson Fist army. Hope you enjoy, and comments and criticism are always appreciated.

EDIT: *Facepalm* I just realized I left the Sternguard's bolter sling blue. It's late so forgive me, I'll get around to it soon.

Whenever I see leaders with these big bulky flags on top of their backpacks I have to wonder how that would affect them. I see Marines as being fast and agile, even if big and heavy, and I have an image of a marine doing a combat roll with one of those banners and ending up stuck in the dirt upside down. Besides, I like the eagle backpack much better than the one he came with :P

And some more Sternguard are added to the mix after some touch ups to sarge. Not sure how I feel about this guy actually. I'm kind of torn between having more white or more gold.

More gold. First thing they teach a Blood Angel neophyte is that "there is no such thing as too much bling!"

That lesson goes to all marines.
