sniperous
Hi guys, Just trying to figure out whats the best setup with Lemartes for a DC squad (say 5?), im not sure on what i should load them up with, obviously JP's as that what lemartes has already. Suggestions please?
JamesI
DC with jump packs are very expensive, though Lemartes is great. How about 10 DC, no packs, Lemartes, Storm Raven, DC dread.
igotsmeakabob!!
Since JPs for DC are one of the worst choices you can make as a BA player, using Lemartes is fairly limited.. either a very small squad, which means you aren't really getting that Chaplain bonus, or my preferred option... stick him with 8-10 DC in a Stormraven. sniperous
so just lose lemartes then and just go for a regular chappie and 5 dc? i've already got lemartes but i wanted to use him more for looks than anything else, but i also got a a old school lemartes given to me and i just put a regular backpack on it so i could use that? what do u reckon
SamaNagol
Lemartes only really makes sense in an all DC army.
SnorriSnorrison
Jumppacks are the best way to equip your DC with when using Lemartes, that's from my experience at least. I think that is the most viable and fluffy option for DC, even though they are pretty expensive. When I used them, they were 4-5 guys and Lemartes, 2 PW in the squad. I field them to kill infantry and that's just what they'll do, maybe one day a dreadnought will walk all over....them. Well, it happens from time to time. Of course, in a pure mech environment, I would not advise to use them with JP, but I try to avoid these environments, speaking non-tourny games with friends and such. DC perform great and are even more frightening with Lemartes, the bane of every infantry squad I've met so far. Simply devastating. I hope this was helpful. SamaNagol
My squad runs a Power Weapon, a Thunder Hammer and an Inferno Pistol for when they end up chasing a vehicle.
shatter
lemmie is too good to ignore if you have stormravens. got stormraven? taking lemmie, meph or the sanguinor is a good idea. got 2 stormravens? DEFINATELY take one of those guys and the cheapest is lemmie (210+ for 5 wounds). Being able to upgrade the lemmie option makes him potentially better than meph or the sanguinor. edit: Oops, forgot the fun bit, 5+lemmie in a stormraven enables the FOC to let you take a DC dread in the hold. The combo can tie up a flank or if it's infantry heavy, roll it up.
