[Decay of Solus]

Well, to kick off some actual involvement, I have decided to start a log about my baby of a SM army.

To start off with I have the Third Tactical Squad of the Second Company, themed around the conflict on Skaros IV

Brother Sergeant Seker: A veteran marine often seen using his Aegean pattern Stalker Boltgun

Brother Sisius: Sisius is the squad leader and wears a black pauldron to signify his role along with an advanced sensor suite upon the backpack power plant for directing the Plasma Cannon's fury

Brother Gelen: Gelen wields the rare Avenger pattern boltgun, a weapon noted for it's increased accuracy at range and simplistic design

Brother Paeso: Paeso is an oddity in the squad, a marine that should have been felled by the blow to his head still fighting. He has refused to have his helmet repaired, citing that the Emperor shined upon him and such an item shouldn't be changed.

Brother Cero: Cero is a recent addition to the Squad and has been given protection duty for the Plasma Cannon. He would gladly give his life for the chance of a direct hit upon an enemy.

Brother Scriso: Scriso wields a Plasma Cannon, a weapon known for being extremely dangerous both to wielder and foe alike.

There you have it. Combat Squad Arthur needs the Tactical Markings done and their bases finished but that's it for now.

good work so far, i'm liking the different patterns of bolter and the excellent little stories for each of your marines, but please drill out those barrels

A few bolters could do with a drilling/dotting. I'd recommend taking photos against something neutral, sometimes you lose detail on the models to the background.

 

I like bolter variants.

Looking good thus far, I like the bolters a lot, just need drilling as mentioned or dotting the end of the barrels black. A wash or two might help to add depth as well, such as using Thraka Green on the plasma cannon's coils. I'd really work out nicely. Keep it up!
