Grim Dog Studios
A bit of an odd post, but does anybody know where i could find some katanas for my marines, maybe in a bitz pack or something? breng77
THe closes looking weapons are on some of the blood angel sprues, The DC and Saguinary guard units have Power weapons that look like Katanas, but only about 1 or 2 per box, so unless you can find them at a bit seller it is kind of a bad idea. ImperialReaper
The Sanguinary Guards have 2 handed Glaives Encarmine. They come pretty close to a catana IMO. Also maybe you could buy some Catanas from LEGO - they are about the same size as the claives encarmine if I remember correctly. MagicMan
This place has Naginata and Sashimono. http://www.perry-miniatures.com/index2.html http://www.perry-miniatures.com/images/sam28.jpg http://www.perry-miniatures.com/images/sam29.jpg No Katanas, but could be useful if you're Jap-Theming your marines. EmbattledSoul
Those naginata would be a great for a fantasy empire army, counts as greatswords not sure if there are samurai models from historical, though from what I understand they canceled it. No offense but compared to the GW items those bitz look pretty cheap to me. Dave the Twisted
I'd say cutting one of those naginatas a tad shorter in the hilt and in the blade would make for a good-looking katana. MagicMan
No offense but compared to the GW items those bitz look pretty cheap to me. Cheaper doesn't mean worse. They're sculpted by Alan + Michael Perry, who're two of GW's top sculptors, so..... Not that i took offense. :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/216726-katanas/#findComment-2599001 Share on other sites
