UltraMarine Terminators

Hi,

I finished basing these 5 this morning and thought i'd put them up on here to see what everyone thought.

Admittedly i did rush painting these somewhat and so they aren't to the highest standard i could have achieved, but i wanted to get them finished quickly.

The bases will need another coat of snow flock, but besides that they are done.

Next up is my slightly converted AoBR Dreadnought. :P

Cheers,

Mike.

Hey Mike,

got a short question for the beginning:

If you did rush them, why on earth would you try to "show off" with BR models?

Sure, I'm being quite harsh - you don't deserve that - but I just don't really see the point. Your next project sounds far more interesting - even slight conversions may achieve awesome results.

Hah, erm?

You basically said, '':P your minis, im being mean and you dont deserve that, but :D them all the same.''

Those ultras are looking good though dude, like Zincite said, a white highlight on the helmets would make all the difference!

@ MagicMan:

Nah, that's not true. As far as I know ChaplainMikey, he's a nice chap, and I don't mean to insult him.

I've seen worse minis, but I've seen better ones, too, that's true.

I just told him I didn't understand why he would present rushed minis.

I personally wouldn't do that, that's why I was wondering.

No offense meant!

I agree with Rogan

Chaplainmikey asked: 'here's some terminators that I rushed, what do you think?'

My answer: I think they look rushed.

I think that the details need to be done properly, and that the white needs layering.

I'd personally give them a wash of asurmen blue purely because the blue looks too monotone and i'd redo the battle damage because it looks like you've missed parts with the blue basecoat.

I'd also wash the boltgun metal because like the blue it looks like a rushed basecoat at the moment and put chapter and squad markings on because Marine without them will always always look unfinished and a bit bland.

From a modelling standpoint i'd also drill the barrels.

BrotherZaah & Rogan-

Fair comments guys, but let me explain that i said these were 'somewhat rushed',and that i only painted them with less attention and pace than my Tactical squad because i needed them finished for a game.Otherwise i may well have spent alot more time adding things such as the chapter symbol and other markings.

The helmets do need white highlights but i only skipped these as i haven't any skull white at the moment.

The armour, metals and battle damage look alot better in real life and I'm afraid the pictures do lose alot of the colour.I will get some pictures of the models in daylight tomorrow if the weather is good and post them up.

I appreciate the comments and will look forward to hearing what you think as i progress and post pics of the army as a whole.

Cheers,

Mike.
