Onnotangu
I'm taking one( Using the SM terminator Librarian) in my list with teleport homer and a force weapon in a tourney Any ideas on what else to give him? he's there for fluff reason and I'm tired of taking the basic psychic hood toting IQ Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/216811-inquisitor-in-terminator-armor/ Share on other sites
Inquisitor Fox
I have to heartily recommend a psycannon :D Probably one of the better guns in the game available to us, worth it's weight in gold, and available as wargear. The Emperor's Tarot is popular as well. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/216811-inquisitor-in-terminator-armor/#findComment-2586286 Share on other sites
Eddie Orlock
I'd ditch the force weapon and just take the psycannon. Give him a retinue with grenade launcher toting henchmen and maybe a couple of mystics. Onnotangu
currently He is accompanied by 2 sages and 2 mystics and 3 gun servitors in a LR. I thought about sticking him in the terminator armor to take a teleport homer and survive long enough to bring in reinforcements but I may just take a bare Lord with a hood and scourging and a force weapon. and use the points elsewhere. They're heavy weapons and one of the chief advantages of the tactical dread suit is the ability to move and shoot. Onnotangu
well I didn't need to change anything. he never even saw action other than to sit in the land's raider and sip tea with his gun servitor. 2 wins and a draw. not liking my calidus much though. Red Lost Soldier
Perhaps veteran warriors with plasma or melta would go better than the heavy weapon servitors riding in a LR? Being about to jump out and shoot with the Inquisitor should he ever need to lay waste to something, and you can still follow with a charge if you go melta. The Callidus can be hit and miss I've found. 2 variables seem to affect her most. The first being poor reserves rolls keeping her out of the game and the second is dependent on your opponents army, sometimes there are not any good targets for her when she arrives. If he's going to spend the entire game hiding in a land raider then giving him sages and heavy weapon servitors that never get used seems like a pretty big waste to me. Chengar Qordath
I thought that the Inquisition Teleport homers no longer worked While teleport homers do not work according to RAW, it is a reasonably common practice to play them according to the modern rules in friendly games. Onnotangu
If he's going to spend the entire game hiding in a land raider then giving him sages and heavy weapon servitors that never get used seems like a pretty big waste to me. it was due to the missions during the tourney that he stayed inside. drop pods and deep strikers started on the board deployed before dawn of war kicked in. No reason to spend 2+ turns getting into position. only to be assuated by jumpack marines. still worked out well. Just that I will not be taking him in term armor except with some acolytes with artificer armor and a teleport homer to bring in some GK terminators in the near future. as for the teleport homers not working I am unaware of any rule or faq preventing them from working. Codex and FAQ have nothing on this..unless it's in the Big book. I don't think it will take long to see the problem.
