Okay so I really like the look of chaos terminators and this is my excuse to play them alongside my Dark Angels. (Using the Deathwing Terminator rules) Please help me develop these relatively unconnected ideas!

Ecritter is right. Tau are at least 25th/26th Founding. And Termi armour for a Chapter is rare - only the DA seem to get away with many suits. Fluff wise I'm going to wedge a crowbar in there and rip out some things. Your company organisation is, well, wrong - there's no way a Chapter can sustain that layout. If there is a reliance on Terminator, then leave it all in the 1st Company but in a bit more larger than normal numbers; say 50. You can say this is from the major influence of the Deathwing from their Parent Chapter, which the new Chapter wishes to make its focal point.

Oh, Emperor preserve us from fluff-butchery! :)

The Lion's Teeth are a 38th founding chapter of the Dark Angels.

The last founding is 26th in 738.M41 (if we discount the Most Glorious 27th Founding :eek ). Timeline + estimated dates of Foundings.

The chapter was founded during a Tau invasion and was originally built of only 100 terminators and 300 or so tactical and devastator marines.

T'au, the Tau home planet, was discovered in 789.M35 by the Adeptus Mechanicus ship Land's Vision. Adeptus Mechanicus records indicate that at that time the Tau species had mastered the use of simple tools and weapons, as well as fire. Before the planet could be cleansed and colonized by the Imperium however, a violent Warp storm erupted around the planet. This continued for 6,000 years, making the Tau's homeworld utterly inaccessible.

However, the Damocles Crusade against Tau stops around 742.M41. Go figure. :)

And the Chapters aren't founded like that. The High Lords of Terra announce the Founding, then Admech select the suitable gene-seed. And it takes 55years to grown enough gene-seed to create Chapter.

TDA is one of the most rare equipment. It's highly unlikely for new Chapter to have hundred of them.

Not only is there organization unique, but they are highly religious and instead of company masters or captains they have grand chaplains. Grand chaplains do not care as much for their companies spiritual well being as the regular chaplains, but are known for their tactical prowess and ability to sense Chaos.

Doesn't make sence to me.

- If they are hightly religious, how it come the Grand Chaplains don't care for spiritual-being of their fellow brothers?

- Where did this ability to sence Chaos come from? They are fighting Xenos on the other edge of Imperium, than the Eye of Terror.

Inquisitor reports indicate that the first company grew chaotic mutations over the disappearance and the Imperium declared the chapter renegades.

Chaotic mutations= serving a Chaos-god(s).

The planet is far from the grasp of the Imperium in Tau territory....

Tau territory is in the middle of Segmentum Ultima, and it's no larger than single sector... If they didn't have codex, they would be a just footnote in some Administratum record.

May the Guide to Diyng and Octaguide lead you on the path of righteousness.

ERGH! Oh well...

I changed it up some. Thanks everyone for all your help, but please continue helping, I need it!

Dark Angels have at least 100 suits of TDA per chapter. I counted it out the other day and it should actually be 100 for terminators, 5 for command squad of first company, 1 for first company master, 1 for potential librarian assigned to first company, 1 for chaplain assigned to first company, 1 for chapter master, potential 10-30 more for honor guard of some type. Total of 109-139. Before you cry cheese think on this:

IIRC, the legions were 100,000 space marines, hence 10,000 Deathwing. According to "Angels of Darkness" there are a freaking 137 fallen Dark Angels. The Dark Angels were also a bit late to the battles of the heresy so I don't think they sustained over 80% casualties. Even if they did, terminator armor is far to precious to be discarded and they would fight to regain it. I don't think the Dark Angels don't have enough TDA for a couple successors. They should have enough for 574 successors if the statistics of 10% DW, 100,000 man legions and 137 fallen are correct.
