mughi3
One of our regular players at the LGS is in the military and is prepairing to deploy for the next year+ Se we did a big apocalyspe battle with most of his nids on the table(6K worth) To speed along gameply we opted not to use assets or data sheets. This is the way he loves to see bugs played, by the bucket full. this was his force minus the tervigaunt spawned gaunts- http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i112/mughi3/batreps/ka121110.jpg http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i112/mughi3/batreps/kb121110.jpg We had a coalition fo orks, emperors children, and my adhock force of venerable dreads, ironclad dreads a land raider achillies(proxied) and a master of the forge. http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i112/mughi3/batreps/kc121110.jpg We made up a table and rolled up 4 objectives- http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i112/mughi3/batreps/kd121110.jpg Since we had reserves we decided to make the nids go first after we won the roll off. our deployment lines- http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i112/mughi3/batreps/ke121110.jpg The nids- http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i112/mughi3/batreps/kf121110.jpg Now onto the battle: turn 1 for the nids is pretty simple they move forwards and the tervigaunst start spawning. the nids take shots at some rhinos blowing up or immobilising several. On out responding turn 1 we spend alot of time killing gargoyles we was using as screening units. he managed to use terrain well enough to get cover saves on most of his units turn 2 all of his trygons show up and he starts dropping stuff in our lines. in the conflagration that follows we loose most of the orks although the trukk nob gets MVP for wounding a trygon with a slugga and finsihing him in CC. the ork player ended up having to leave in turn 3 so his deff copters never got to come in, the chaos marines did a number on the nids but when it was all over they were down to 7 marines on the table. http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i112/mughi3/batreps/kg121110.jpg http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i112/mughi3/batreps/kh121110.jpg http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i112/mughi3/batreps/ki121110.jpg http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i112/mughi3/batreps/kj121110.jpg http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i112/mughi3/batreps/kk121110.jpg http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i112/mughi3/batreps/kl121110.jpg http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i112/mughi3/batreps/km121110.jpg http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i112/mughi3/batreps/kn121110.jpg http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i112/mughi3/batreps/ko121110.jpg http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i112/mughi3/batreps/kp121110.jpg http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i112/mughi3/batreps/kq121110.jpg We called it after the tob of turn 5 since i was pretty much the only effective force on the table and i had no scoring units. I was left with 5 dreads on the table(one immobilised) the master of the forge and the achillies http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i112/mughi3/batreps/kr121110.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/217018-apocalyptic-fairwell/ Share on other sites
