I'm going to be working out the kinks in this list so it can be a trustworthy tournament list for my local scene. My first game with this list was against Necrons.

His list IIRC:

Lord - Destroyer Body, Warscythe, Nightmare Shroud, Gaze of Flame

Lord - Veil of Darkness, Resurrection Orb, Warscythe

10 Flayed Ones - Disruption Fields

16 Warriors - Disruption Fields

10 Warriors - Disruption Fields

5 Destroyers

10 Scarabs - Disruption Fields

10 Scarabs - Disruption Fields

Monolith

Scenario: Capture and Control

Deployment: Dawn of War

I win the roll to go first and take it. I place my objective on the left edge of my deployment zone and he places his objective on my far right in format area terrain. My plan right away is to castle around my objective to force him to give up mobility and get bottlenecked if he goes to contest my objective. My Terminators are assigned to contest his objective.

I deploy the flamer tactical squad in their Rhino 24" up in a clearing on the right side of the table. He reserves his Flayed Ones, both Warrior squads (normal reserves), VoD Lord, and Monolith. Everything else is set to come on turn 1.

He passes on the opportunity to steal the initiative.

Marine Turn 1:

The Lascannon combat squad moves along my board edge. On their right is a predator, 3 Landspeeders, and both Dreadnoughts with firing lines through a forest and a ruin. My melta combat squad and other predator move into the center, and my Crusader deploys on my right lined up with his objective. I move my Flamer squad up 6" to bait a scarab squad and hopefully his destroyers. I had 6 missiles and 7 Lascannons covering the Rhino so I figured all was well.

Necron Turn 1:

His Scarabs and destroyers hone in on the rhino with the Scarabs passing all 7 dangerous terrain checks I forced. His Lord turboboosted along the left edge with the other Scarabs.

His Destroyers take shots at a Predator but can't see it.

The Scarabs assault the Rhino, passing all 7 dangerous terrain checks. They take off the storm bolter and immobilize it.

Marine Turn 2:

I spread out my parking lot to avoid a multiple assault. My predator sits still. One Landspeeder flies right in front of his turboboosted Scarabs in-between the board edge and a forest. My crusader moves 12" behind a ruin cheating to the middle of the board to help with the Scarabs. The melta Rhino moves to the crusader to try to claim the other objective. I had the sense he was going all out to contest mine and that my Terminators could clear a path for me.

Shooting sees 6 krak missiles, 7 Lascannons, and 2 Autocannons take down 2 destroyers. He couldn't fail a cover save. My flamer squad and crusader take out 4 Scarab bases.

In assault he wrecks the Rhino and my guys have plenty of room to pile out.

Necron Turn 2:

Both destroyers stay down and nothing comes in from reserve. He closes in on my castle turboboosting with the 6 Scarabs. The destroyers move into a ruin, pass every dangerous terrain test, and immobilize and destroy the Lascannon off a Dreadnought. He assaults my screening Landspeeder with the Scarabs stunning and immobilizing it. His lord assaults my predator and wrecks it. Now the lord is in the open and the Scarabs are too close for their own good.

Marine Turn 3:

I move my Lascannon combat squad into assault range of the Scarabs around my Landspeeder. My Flamer squad moves into assault range of his turboboosted Scarabs (a ruin forced a few bases to he in range). My crusader moves 6" to try to pummel his destroyers. The melta combat squad and librarian continue to the objective.

My crusader is 2" shy of the destroyers, then he makes every cover save for the destroyers, but my Dreadnought and Landspeeder take out his lord. Both of my tac squads shoot and assault his Scarabs. My Flamer squad rolls through the scarabs and consolidate around the down lord to wrap him up in assault if he gets back up...but they are a little too bunched up for their own good. The Lascannon combat squad puts a few wounds on the scarabs and he destroys the missile launcher on the landspeeder.

Necron Turn 3:

Everything comes in from reserve, and his lord stays dead. The monolith deepstrikes just out side my castle with his Flayed Ones running for it to get teleported into the fray next turn. His two warrior squads run behind the woods with their objective. His destroyers leave the ruin moving to my left and finally fail a dangerous terrain check (that's 1/20)!

Shooting sees his destroyers immobilize and destroy the missile launcher on a Landspeeder. The monolith passes on a deathblow to my Flamer squad in the open to hit my predator immobilizing it. The Flayed Ones and Warriors run.

I cause 4 wounds on his Scarabs and they turn around and kill 3 marines!

Marine Turn 4:

My crusader turns and heads straight for his objective with the melta squad. My Dreadnought moves to intercept his monolith in assault (this kind of threat is my reasoning for taking strength 10 power weapons).

I my remaining Landspeeder fails to penetrate the cover of the trees to take down the destroyers. Then my Dreadnought shoots at the monolith rolling 1,3,6,5 wrecking it. The monolith blocks the predator's los to the destroyers so it fires at the Flayed Ones missing every shot. The crusader takes down 4 of the 16 warriors with its cannon.

The Flamer squad assaults the Scarabs doing some damage but losing a marine.

Necron Turn 4:

Losing the monolith screwed his plans with the Flayed Ones so they became a non-factor for the rest of the game. The destroyer gets up moves toward the center of the board. Two of his warriors get up and teleport with the lord landing beside my working predator scattering very little--they could have easily been screwed being so close to my board edge, predator, immobile Dreadnought, and a ruin.

His destroyers shoot at my Landspeeder again turning it into a crater. The Warriors rapid fire into ly predator taking off its turret which was a confusing choice to me.

I put a few wounds on the Scarabs and lose another marine.

Marine Turn 5:

Not a lit of moving here. My crusader amd melta squad reach his objective. The Terminators force his warriors to fallback off his table edge (his first failed Ld test albeit at -5) but lose a Terminator in the process. My Dreadnought assaults his lord and warriors, throws every attack into the lord for insurance and instakills him twice. His disruption fields and warscythe then immobilize and destroy both weapons on the Dreadnought. I take the Scarabs down to 2 bases and do not lose another marine.

Necron Turn 5:

The lord gets up and he uses the veil to drop the warriors on my objective. His destroyers move to the center of the board (in front of my predator) and immobilizes my melta squad Rhino.

My tac squads finally kill off the Scarabs thanks to the PF and consolidate toward my objective.

The game was a draw at this point but he rolled a 5 to keep us playing.

Turn 6:

My crusader does a 180 and joins with my predator to take out the destroyers denying them any last turn heroics. My last Landspeeder puts a scattered frag missile on my Flamer squad killing 1 marine and a frag on his warriors killing 1. In assault I have to cross over the predator his lord wrecked and pass both dangerous terrain checks, but when his lord reacts, he also had to move through the predator but he failed his check. So I end up sweeping his warriors and we call it.

What I learned...

Good strategy and opponent's mistakes can overcome poor dice for me and good dice for the opponent.

Scarabs can tie up marines very well.

My vehicles immobilize easy.
