Chengar Qordath
Black Library books have a tendency to ignore the Canon materials in favor of Kewl Creativity. The books they put out make a pretty bad precident for saying something is possible. -the Hat Mat Ward is just as bad for it. Remember the BA codex? Necrons and BA become super-best-friends to take down a common enemy, then leave eachother alone peacefully. Being completely xenophobic hasn't always been in the Imperium's nature. In RT. there was something about a half-Eldar Ultramarine, who made it right up there in the Librarium. The original Rogue Trader is more or less a completely different continuity from modern Warhammer 40k. After all, Rogue Trader was wacky and had a fair bit of camp (Obiwan Sherlock Clouseau) instead of being gothic and Grimdark, not to mention huge fluff changes like Space Marines not being very transhuman at all. Taking anything from Rogue Trader as authoritative when it comes to modern 40k is a bad idea. That said, some people do overplay the xenophobia of the Imperium; there have been de-facto alliances with the Eldar during the Black Crusades, between wars the Imperium has diplomatic relations with the Tau, and under the right circumstances a xeno who has proven themselves can gain official recognition as a loyal servant of the Imperium. The Imperium is definitely very xenophobic, but not always to the level kill aliens on sight. Inquisitor Fox
Remember there are many Inquisitors who consult with the Eldar, and the Ordo Malleus cooperates with Harlequins against daemonic forces. Simply because the Imperium would prefer to destroy all the Xenos doesn't mean that as a whole they are incapable of cooperation should the situation require it. That being said, some sections of the Imperium are very much burn the Xenos (I'm lookin' at you Adepta Sororitas and Black Templars!) :tu: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/217199-turning-kroot-into-an-inquisitor/page/2/#findComment-2604307 Share on other sites
Brovius
It is also worth mention that several Ordo Malleus Inquisitors are allowed access to the Black Library, and killing them in swathes sure isn't the way to gain a right such as that. AngelOfDeathXIII
How about a pack of Kroot (as sniffer dogs) with ajusted lasguns or shotguns (of course with bayonets) and a collar around their neck which can explode when neccesary.. Or perhaps an Inquisitional mark burned into them? GodwynDi
From what I recall from older editions, that is exactly how entry was often gained to the black library, by fighting their way in. Certainly not the most tactful approach, but who worries about the "feelings" of filthy xenos :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/217199-turning-kroot-into-an-inquisitor/page/2/#findComment-2606733 Share on other sites
