BDS
So, I was thinking (or over thinking) with the new FAQ about the following uint and wondering what can be done with it: Logan+Rune Priest (LL, Storm, chooser)+ Rune Priest (LL, MH, Chooser, melta bomb)+Wolf Priest (TDA, Saga of Hunter)+TDA WG with Missile Launcher+6 Long fangs (5 Missile Launcher).... Walks forward with a 4+ save while out in the open or walks behind some Fen Wolves for a 3+, while the pups are granted a 5+ from the RP and shoots like the blazes...but how many ways can you split the fire? Thanks, BDS Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/217247-split-fire-in-squads-with-attached-ics/ Share on other sites
Ullr Direfang
i believe that "Logan+Rune Priest (LL, Storm, chooser)+ Rune Priest (LL, MH, Chooser, melta bomb)+Wolf Priest (TDA, Saga of Hunter)+TDA WG with Missile Launcher" all have to shoot a one thing with atleast one LF. This is just what I believe. Not sure, I haven't really looked at it but that is what I would say. Thanks, BDS That would work just fine, but would pretty much comprise your entire 1850 point list by themselves. The Unit can Split Fire, so long as the Squad Leader doesn't shoot, so you get to pick two separate targets and figure out who out of your Unit shoots at which target. There are no restrictions on which models out of your Unit shoot which targets, so allocate your shots and your Psychic shooting attacks however you wish. BDS
Yes, it is point heavy. But the premise is the same on smaller or larger scales. The exercise is beneficial for me as I explore putting together an infantry list that is thematic while being at least marginally competitive. I really could have asked the same question with a TDA CYclone WG and two run priest attached to a long fang squad really. After reading, and rereading the entry on Long fangs it seem clear you can split the group into any two components to fire at different targets; assuming the sgt is not killed or fires his weapon. Nurgle's Chosen
Only issue I can find here is that you cannot give Saga of the Hunter to a model in Terminator armor. That and its a big pile of eggs all in one basket.
