SirTainly
Some of you may remember my first CSM army that I almost got done (by not sleeping) before moving to Canada, and because I couldn't fit them in my case I had to leave them behind in storage. Well now that I'm here, and might be here for another year I've started another army (well two but we don't mention the Dark Eldar here). It's the Black Legion again so I can combined it with my other army eventually to give me options to mix and match as required. Most of the models are going to be painted in the other Legion colours though, to represent other Chaos warbands joining Abaddon's crusade. So to kick off here's some thousand Sons and an Iron Warriors Obliterator WIPs: http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5088/5265199621_84848713ec.jpg http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5165/5265805918_cf519673c2.jpg http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5003/5265198613_a0b58d8b94.jpg http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5248/5265198107_9a41547082.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/217297-2nd-chaos-marine-army-wip/ Share on other sites
SirTainly
Just a small update from this weekend as I was pretty busy - one arm for the Oblit, and I still have to do the chainsword as it fell off and didn't get painted (although I stuck it back on before taking the photos). http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5006/5276744776_fd9cbca05d.jpg http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5161/5276744258_108efd834d.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/217297-2nd-chaos-marine-army-wip/#findComment-2594621 Share on other sites
MagicMan
That Obliterator looks sweet! Very nice paintjob. The Thousand Son looks a little grainy though, did you drybrush the armour? SirTainly
Thanks ;) Yes it is drybrushed, I tend to paint that way for speed reasons so I have to put up with a bit of graininess. That said my camera takes really hi-res images so doesn't hide anything, and the look of the figure is less pronounced in the flesh. chaplainmikey
Hi, I really like the tone you've achieved on the Obliterator,it really looks how i've always imagined thier flesh to look. The Hazars stipes on the shoulder pad look ace, detracts from the quite large areas of silver armour without being too overbearing. Looking foward to seeing whats next. Cheers, Mike.
