Bat33.1
This is not just a Wolf Scout question but as I play and build Wolves I'm asking here. Why on earth are the scout figures so short? Most of mine compared to a PA Grey Hunter only come up to the shoulder, now I know they are meant to be stealthy but I've not yet read anything that claims they are all sons of dwarf astartes to improve their stealthing skills. Maybe it's time GW got around to some new Scout figures? Oh and while they are at it please can they do something about those horrible SW scout heads? :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/217305-wolf-scouts/ Share on other sites
Fred Johnson the 3rd jr
I used vanilla marine scouts because the wolf ones were so craptacular. But they all seem short. Maybe power armor marines all have lifts in their shoes? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/217305-wolf-scouts/#findComment-2591335 Share on other sites
Chapter Master Ignis Domus
A power armored marine is much bulkier than a scout because they have rather thick armor with massive amounts of muscle enhancers, comm systems, etc. Carapace armor is nothing like that. Growler67
I would WAG that Scouts in Carapace Armor are smaller to present a less visible profile than their Battle Brothers in Power Armor. Power armor would also give the individual within a bit more stature due to all the assembled bits and such making the warrior within somewhat "encased" in the suit. I use standard Scout models and "Wolf" them up, mixing and bashing with various bits. Durfast Spiritwolf
I am now working on the old ballet dancing ones - they just look more the part than the chubby teenagers you get now Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/217305-wolf-scouts/#findComment-2591345 Share on other sites

Wamp
Resolving of this problem is conversion. Ranwulf
Because Power Armor is made of ten inches of plasteel, ceramite, and other protections, to the point Space Marines becomes tougher to hurt with such equipment. And, seriously, if you are a scout, it's easier to be stealthy by being slim and short. Bat33.1
Resolving of this problem is conversion. For example: http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/index.p...t&p=2579116  Thanks for that I'd missed that one. My Wolf Scouts are converted using chaos marauder bits to give tham a bit more of a ferral look but not as extensive as those conversions. I don't have a problem with them being less bulky it's the lack of height. Unless PA has some serious heels scouts should be similar height but almost all the figures are a full head shorter. Maybe it is less noticable with other chapters as the scouts are the first port of call on the way to full astartes status and there are plenty or refrences in various books of size and height differences among astartes. I guess the bottom line is I'm not a fan of the scout figures and even less of a fan of the head swap Wolf Scouts, looks like I need to work on my green stuff skills :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/217305-wolf-scouts/#findComment-2593015 Share on other sites
