FallenLion
ok so I am painting my AoBR termies crimson fists they are primed chaos black - spray and I only have regal blue, Ice blue, and skull white / chaos black to work with :P so recommend courses of action? I do have more paints than that obviously but still I can't be bothered to list the dozen or so paint I have :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/217307-crimson-fists/ Share on other sites
DarKHaZZ13
Using those paints? depends how dark you want them. thin blended layers are probably the best way to go. start with a a mix of chaos black and regal blue, say 3:1 ratio. then 2:1, 1:1, 1:2, 1:3 then pure regal and repeat different with Regal/ice blue layers till everything is how you want it extreme highlights with the three brightest mix's you decide to use relativly simple and shouldn't look too bad. You probably (if you havn't already) want to get hold of azuram blue wash, babab black wash, mordian blue foundation and Necron Abyss foundation. [less layers is preferable] this topic is an open discussion to the best way to paint Crimson Fists - I new to these Fists and want help but general discussion is also good. and these fists will be the AoBR termies Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/217307-crimson-fists/#findComment-2591480 Share on other sites
Valkyrion
Drybrush Necron Abyss, drybrush mordian blue, wash with asurmen blue. If you want another highlight then drybrush ultramarine blue before the wash. Quick and easy, apart from the wash drying. sonofpollux
Fellow son of pollux, Necron Abyss basecoat, Ultramarines Blue Drybrush, Asurman Wash, Light Ice Blue Drybrush The three first colors get a solid basecoat while the wash darkens the ultramarines blue. The Final Ice Blue highlight/drybrush gives your Fists that beaten Armor feel, like the dark blue is wearing off. Otherwise, good luck Thers is only the Emperor, He is our shield and protector Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/217307-crimson-fists/#findComment-2667324 Share on other sites
