shatter
BA's frag cannon is assault2 template. Can each shot be fired at different positions on the target unit if each placement covers the same maximum number of models in the unit targeted? If this is possible, multiple units beyond the declared target can be hit. Multiple template rules state each weapon, not each shot. So, as far as I can see, nothing allows or disallows it. greatcrusade08
as far as i know aslong as you get maximum placement there is no further requirements.. generally if your maximising coverage on one unit you wont be hitting a second Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/217641-assault2-template/#findComment-2595789 Share on other sites
Grey Mage
Yes, if there are two placements with equal, maximum, hits... It seems theres no restriction against it or mandate that you must simply double the hits from a single placement. narf
Generally speaking though if you get the same amount of hits on either placement, then you are just doubling the hits, with some extra work. If you can get the same amount of hits on unit A where ever you placed the template, and also caught some of unit B under some placements, again why would you not want to just double that? Because there may be two different placements which each allow x models from unit A, but one placement also hits Unit B while another placement hits Unit C - and you want to "share the pain"? :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/217641-assault2-template/#findComment-2597862 Share on other sites
Grey Mage
Exactly- wich is particularly important if the template has some sort of special effect, like say pinning.
