Gargoyles for a NL army

Hi fellow Dark Lords.

I´ve a request. I was looking through the old C: CSM and read that the NL could use enslaved Gargoyles. I´m very well aware that we now can have only lesser summoned daemons. But my request is not about the rules but about the models. I don´t like the old/actual metal gargoyles. I´m looking for some alternatives. So i would like to hear and see what you are using. Maybe some cool conversion ideas? I was thinking about to use the wings from the tyranid gargoyles, but what to use for the body and the head? Any ideas?

On occasion, I've used the harpies from my WFB Dark Elves army to represent my lesser daemons.

I have seen fantasy Gouls used which looked pretty good....I think that blood letter bodies with wings would also look pretty cool.

Ok, i just checked out the options i´ll have if i use only GW stuff. The bodies are all from WHF.

I think the Ghouls are a good options. But maybe someone other has another good idea.

You could Evil up some Kroot into lesser Daemons and give them Genestealer arms or Green/Grey stuff Magics.

the problem with gargoyles is that they have wings . And because our FAQ we have to model our wings , if we want to get the rules . gargoyles would make our list illegal and non WYSIWYG.

hence why the gargoyle model line was removed... a shame as I always liked transforming my raptors into daemons...
