Iron-Daemon Forge
Sweet looking army Jamie, I'd also like to know how you painted the Terminators armour? Thanks Ryan For painting the armour Adeptus Battlegrey, leave the join in the armour as black lines. Like wise I also paint Boltgun metal for the weapons, etc... & Bestial Brown. Badab Black wash Codex Grey Highlight Fortress Grey Highlight on the very tips of the armour. Bit like a metal bar when you see normal colour, lighter & then a white line. Then prretty much detail after words. Just for my Wolves in general I just wanted to go for a dark colour. Also I am not a fan of bright colours that all, though I am give it a try on my current Blood Angels project with yellow helmet, though dull down a bit it still the bright colour anyone will ever see me painting in a long time. Preffer dark gritty colour, while the Highlight are done a bit brighter to add contrats & to bring people attesion closer to see all the conversion work, like wise for having the Blue Viking Runes, act as a spot colour painting wise to draw in attesion. It work so far for my tournament Wolves force having won ELG Player chose award for best painting, 2nd Stirling Wargaming club Rapid Fire & top 10 in the Nov Throne of Skulls event held down in Warhammer World Nottingham HQ of all that is GW. On another note, I spoke of trying to arrange a 3000pts game with both Wolf Wing & my tournament Wolves. It was called off the first time due to being badly unwell, try re-arrange but once more it never happen due to stuff happen for my orignaly oppent. However one of my other friends has recent been adding a fair few new stuff to his Blood Angels army (Storm Raven & Dreadnought) that was release this weekend just past. So we are going to try get a 3000pts of Blood Angels vs Space Wolves. So see how it all gose this Thur, take some photos. One finial note, a few Terminators will be getting replace with some new conversion when I have the time. A few where a little rush & I got some new idea since finish this project. Also still need to get around to converting a Rune Priest that some stage. But for now my Space Wolves focuse in general will be the 40k double tournament in less than two weeks time & then the April Throne of Skulls. Iron-Daemon Forge
I said I was going to try & get both my Wolf Wing & my tournament wolf army together in a all epic 3000pts game. On Thur I mange to get a all epic 3000pts game that my wargaming club. Really great game, no Apoclypse rules as that would have slow us up. Really enjoy the game over all, belive I never failed a single cover or Inv save from any of the Blood Angels shooting!!! Russ favour the might of both Space Wolves armies :) Pretty epic game, lot of models have great deeds added to there might saga. From four Wolf Guard terminators pass all Inv save when Mephiston assaulted them, he down to one wound & flees. So they escort him but loss three off there number to the Blood Angels fire power. So just down to the Assault Cannon arm Wolf Guard, fire that Mephiston, four hits, then I get four rending wounds!!!!! Wolf Guard then took five Lascannon to the face only to still be standing there & point toward the Sanguinator model, which lated went on to assault Logan. http://i1226.photobucket.com/albums/ee412/JFmodel/Wolf%20Wing/DSC08613.jpg http://i1226.photobucket.com/albums/ee412/JFmodel/Wolf%20Wing/DSC08614.jpg http://i1226.photobucket.com/albums/ee412/JFmodel/Wolf%20Wing/DSC08615.jpg http://i1226.photobucket.com/albums/ee412/JFmodel/Wolf%20Wing/DSC08616.jpg http://i1226.photobucket.com/albums/ee412/JFmodel/Wolf%20Wing/DSC08617.jpg http://i1226.photobucket.com/albums/ee412/JFmodel/Wolf%20Wing/DSC08618.jpg http://i1226.photobucket.com/albums/ee412/JFmodel/Wolf%20Wing/DSC08619.jpg http://i1226.photobucket.com/albums/ee412/JFmodel/Wolf%20Wing/DSC08620.jpg http://i1226.photobucket.com/albums/ee412/JFmodel/Wolf%20Wing/DSC08621.jpg Dreadnought ended up holding 20 Assault Marines in the end while arm-less & leg-less from round 2 up to the end of the game http://i1226.photobucket.com/albums/ee412/JFmodel/Wolf%20Wing/DSC08622.jpg http://i1226.photobucket.com/albums/ee412/JFmodel/Wolf%20Wing/DSC08623.jpg http://i1226.photobucket.com/albums/ee412/JFmodel/Wolf%20Wing/DSC08624.jpg Irn Bru can is a drop pod, oppent forgotten to bring his drop pod http://i1226.photobucket.com/albums/ee412/JFmodel/Wolf%20Wing/DSC08625.jpg http://i1226.photobucket.com/albums/ee412/JFmodel/Wolf%20Wing/DSC08626.jpg After taken on Mephsiton in close combat, then shooting him as well as survie a round of Lascannon. This Wolf Guard wish to add taken on Sanguinartor to his epic saga http://i1226.photobucket.com/albums/ee412/JFmodel/Wolf%20Wing/DSC08627.jpg Lone Wolves where terrible!!!!!!
