Wolf claws - re-rolls?

So, if my marine has a wolf claw, he can re-roll his failed hits or wounds. And I have to choose before I roll my attacks.

What if I have two wolf claws? I know I can't re-roll failed hits or wounds twice, because there's the double-jeopardy rule that disallows multiple re-rolls of the same dice. But can I re-roll hits because of one and wounds because of the other?

And sorry if there's already a thread on this, I can't search properly on my phone...

Cheers, Colin

Thanks guys; I thought it was an abuse.

And the wolf-priest is a nice thought, but mine's busy keeping the Sky Claws in check

The bigger explanation is to re-read pg. 42 of the BRB. It states that when you use paired weapons of the same type you use the bonuses granted by such a weapon and gain +1 A.

The five paragraphs there are very important, and are commonly abused by blatant twisting- like the guys who come through now and again wainting to use a lightning claw and thunder hammer to reroll their wounds with said hammer.

Yeah, I recognised that I needed two wolfclaws to get the extra attack, and I would need to choose which special weapon's rules to use if I had two different.

The rule for two of the same special weapon (eg wolfclaws, also recognising the extra note about lightning claws) reads as follows:

'These models gain one additional attack. All of their attacks, including the bonus attack, use the special weapon's bonuses and penalties'.

So my question was whether having two of the same special weapon meant I got to use the special weapons' bonus for each weapon - i.e. left hand giving rerolls for hits and right hand giving rerolls for wounds.

*nods* yep- your quotation is more accurate than most B). And shows the possessive, not plural, of the word 'weapon'. Thats the key right there to how we need to interpret it. The passage is not talking about multiple weapons because of that little apostrophe.

This is also the reason why a person with two frost blades does not receive S 6.

1.add Wolf Priest with the appropriate model type selected that battle. the n declare the wolf claws are re-rolling to wound.

2.add Logan Grimnar and take preferred enemy that turn. then declare the wolf claws are re-rolling to wound.

3. Saga of the Beastslayer.

I didn't see any mention of WG in the first post. And you can't get WC if you already have the PF and combi melta. :)
