Scumgrief
So a mate of mine runs a slannesh cult army with twin daemon princes one with lash the other warptime, he runs them together so that he can assault a unit with the two after they get lashed towards them, so far they have been a right pain and I am looking for a fluffy way of dealing with them that is reliable. Any ideas comrades ?
DV8
*EDIT* I just realized I'm in the Blood Angels forum, not the Space Wolves forum. Typing a new reply... Librarians with Psychic Hoods are a great boon, as they allow you the opportunity to stop the powers before they happen. Staying mechanized is also great, as Lash of Submission has no effect on mounted units. Simply get the right units in range (Tactical Squads, Assault Squads, Sternguard Veterans, etc.) and dismount to land a killing blow in one turn. There are many different ways to deal with the Lash Prince, but there's no such thing really as a "sure-fire" way (except maybe Mephiston...using Dante to oogie-boogie the Warptime DP might be a great pre-game de-buff too). It all simply depends on your style of play and what units you have available. DV8
Glendor
do you play mech or DoA? a melta/plasma honor guard could kill one in a turn most likely and in mech asscan or las/plas them to death of course this would take a considerable amount of firepower. Mephiston could probably take on one at a time, but i doubt both Edit: Dv8 beat me to it and had some better suggestions as well but i dont know if even mephiston could be very reliable as he has a 5+ inv and with a little luck could kill you when he strikes back. Its probably pretty even.
BLACK BLΠFLY
Dante's curse only works versus independent characters. I have had some success using VV to pick off one Prince, I'd go for the lash prince first. G :)
Scumgrief
Hey guys thanks for the advice guys, my most successful lists so far have been DOA and I have only had a little experience with Mech lists so far so I dont really know what works for them. Parcival
Well, the idea behind a mech list is that every infantry models rides in a transport unless he assaults. In theory your infantry models stay protected all the way as they approach the enemy until they disembark and assault. While they are inside transports they can't be targeted by psychic spells. Check out the latest FAQ on the basic rulebook by Games Workshop, there they have a paragraph about this as well. In other words, transports are your best friend in terms of protection against enemy shots and magical tricks. Now on how to take down those princes: shooting is the way to go. I would take three Baal Predators with Assault Canon and Heavy Bolters and cover them with shots. That works quite nicely except in my case as I am facing a Slaneesh player who always puts two empty Rhinos in front of his Princes so I have to get rid of those first. JamesI
They only have 3+ armor and 5+ invuls. Missile Launchers will take them down pretty quick.
