PsY Crash
so im working on the fluff for a DiY chapter in the background while building my blood angels army. but i have a question regarding codex adherency (is that a word?) and WYSIWYG standards. Basically im currently running with the idea of a chapter relying so heavily on chaplains that they are moreso abundant within the chapter than other chapters. (think librarians ala blood ravens); so much so that sergeants and whatnot of the chapter also wear "deathmasks" or just plain old chaplainy looking skull helmets. now this poses questions about how this fits within them being as codex adherent as possible. Would they still be considered adherent with this type of physical representation of accomplishments? also on the WYSIWYG side would i actually have to pay cost for a deathmask or can i get away with them just being helmets? if i have to pay a cost for them it would undoubtedly wreck my plans as most SM units cant take them as wargear IIRC. what do you guys think? i want some awesome looking minis. but i also want my chapter as codex adherent as possible while maintaining a clear cut WYSIWYG standard for the tabletop. so what are your thoughts? can i still be adherent? can i still be legal on the tabletop? p.s. im not interested in using them as deathmasks in the wargear sense, just aesthetics. Espada Azul
I don't really see a problem, as the skull plates are essentially just really fancy helmets. You don't actually have to pay for their point cost, and as long as your opponent knows beforehand that they're JUST fancy masks, then it's okay. In hindsight this doesn't seem to be a Liber-specific question.
