Thanks guys for all the input, I did fix and add ears and also fixed some perspective issues on the helmet after I got some more input. This is all hand done in PS, no 3d programs and actually I used no ref for this as when I was making it I had no internet access and didn't have any space marine helmets laying around so I went on memory. I'll be uploading the fixed version in a few.

TheReclusiarch-Yes I do, PM me for info

I couldn't help but smile when I saw this pic. I'm using this same shade of yellow and the same rust effect for my Marines Malevolent project, and it warmed my heart to see this stunning artwork. This is now offically my wallpaper...outstanding job, man. Best of luck with your portfolio, hope you get picked up.

Heres the updated version, sorry I feel asleep. Theres not a lot of things noticeable really, its small stuff manly being the shape of the helmet in some places and the adding of the "ears"

its also on my DA------->http://sharpwriter.deviantart.com/

and bein' a bond villian is what I do on the weekends.

I am awestruck by this. A simple but powerful piece you've got there. Really conveys a lot of emotion, and I feel some heartstrings tugging just looking at it. Just curious, did you have any specific chapters in mind when making this? I know the obvious thought would be the Fists, but there are some other notable chapters that use yellow helmets, like Blood Angels Assault troops.
Hi Mr. Nipples, Really Great Work. Well drawn and painted. I agree this piece has great character and atmosphere. I feel for a portfolio, you may need some action pieces with multiple subjects. If you look at GW art alot of it has 10+ warriors on them and quite a busy background to, so I would suggest that perhaps do something like a codex cover for your folio. but what you done so far is really great and is quite similar to the GW art style. :P keep up the good work.
