Element 3b: Markings Part II

I
n addition to deciding upon the basic livery of the fledgling Chapter, the first Chapter Master also selected the method by which the Chapter would indicate company affiliation. While one of the most common methods used by Chapters that adhere to the Codex Astartes is to demonstrate the company color upon the shoulder pad rims, the first Chapter Master instead selected another method.

VOTE: Determine the method by which the Chapter displays company affiliation.

This element will be determined by a simple voting process. Note that the choices are based around the Chapter adhering to the Codex Astartes. While the Codex allows for some variation, we’re going to follow established patterns and require certain things to be represented. I’m largely following the variation allowed by Insignium Astartes here, though with updates based on 4th edition and beyond ‘Eavy Metal practices.

The elements up for voting this time are derived from the previous Markings decisions which can be found here. Relevant to this part, we decided that the Chapter indicates company affiliation by displaying the company number upon one of the kneepads.

Voting: Members may vote for each aspect of Marking in the polls. Voting will end on Monday, 3 January 2011 (which means I’ll accept anything I receive prior to the first time I login on Tuesday, 4 January :P ).

If you have any questions, feel free to ask them in this discussion.

I don't want to predispose anyone towards anything, so I'm not going to set defaults. If it turns out that we have any ties, we'll go to discussion. The best way to prevent any ties is to start discussing things now as the voting is going on, giving people something to think about before voting.

Okay, I added the image, but as it turns out, every time I edit the first post it zeroizes the poll. So I'm closing this one because a number of you have already voted and you can't re-vote once I goof up.

Five minutes in the pain glove for me.
