Angels of Redemption MkII

Schwing! Your work is SO sweet; love the weathering, love the painting style.

I've always had a thing for the Angels of Redemption ever since the 90's edition of Space Hulk, but always deemed the scheme impossible to paint. You, however, have pulled them off magnificently, so a big grats to you.

Ps. I'm a big fan of The Vanus Temple :) great job with that too...

Just scratches using a file or something sharp :) CHeers!

Instead of 5 scouts, I decided to make a sanguinary Priest to go with seth and the termies in the SR :)

I realy like your painting style!

What color did you use for the bare metal on the scratches?

If you mean the damage, thats charadon granite, the metals are the GW metals

What a waste of a good assault terminator!

A good bit of wreckage for when a flyer goes pop is the plastic crashed lander you get with the Battle for Maccrage starter set.

Believe me.. I have enough :tu:

For my own benifit would that be a piece that naturally comes with the Stormraven kit or something you made up yourself?

And now to my questions, (which I have been holding off on :/)

What was your recipe for green?

With the streaked pattern, does it work with an already flat brush or would I have to ruffle it out some as well?

For the Sanguinary Priest, what did you use to get the blood splatter color wise?

Anyway and since I've been more than annoying enough with the questions, I'm going to add in some flattery to try and smooth it all over. Your models and painting are both wonderfully done and amazingly inspiring.

Cheers :P

The clamp I made myself from a spare landing gear from another storm raven kit. With some drop pod harnesses glue on :)

The green is simple. Knarloc green, wash devlan, then use gretchin and do the streaky. Done. THe battle damage is Charadon granit sponged on, and then I use gretchin green to highlight it.

The blood effect is Tamiya X-27 Clear Red. Mix in a tiny amount of black and stipple on, stipple again when half dry and you get great gore :)

Here's what I've got done today so far:

Most of the dread is done, just a few little touches to do. And then the crane clamp bit on the SR itself

So is the Dread detachable/useable? Or just for show?

He's just pinned on until I get me some magnets.

I will eventually make a base for his awkwardly positioned feet.. so then I can detach him and use him :)

But for Doubles.. he;s just for show.

Sam Fisher...Space Marine Scout.

I liked the eye glow on the standard marines, but on those goggles and scopes... :(

Bestow your glowing effects wisdom upon us, dear sir, lest I be forced to fetch a spork and dig through your brain for it the old fashioned way.....please?

Oh, and everything else is ridiculous in awesomeness, as usual. Seems almost unfair that such simple recipes yield you such good results.

Edit: Ah, went back a page and found the glowy-eye guide...never mind all that spork business... Though I have to wonder how well it will work on really dark colors, like Black...

Lots of thin layers.

With the half and half scheme, I find I have to do the eye on the green side twice.. and the bone side once :)
