MalachiOfRuss
I run two packs with 2x LC and 3x ML in each. I haven't played many games with this combo but I like what I've seen so far. I realize my experience is very much my friends that I play against: but I always end up lining up against the Tyranid guy (3 model Carnifex brood) or the Black Templar guy (with a vanguard of 2 LRC and 2 Predators). Especially against the BT player I want the best AV punch at the best range. I know some like to claim that SW are the best CC army, but we aren't; not in the respect that charging headlong into CC is a good tactic. The first time I played against the BT player I tried the CC route: Furious Charge Sword Brethren Termies tore up my Wolf Guard, and my Skyclaws lead by Wolf Priest got ripped up by a squad lead by an Init 5 Chaplain carrying that Relic thing that doubles his attacks or whatever. So, next game I brought out the extra LC's... managed to wreck or immobilize the LRC's long before they came into range, put his troops on foot, and shot him up until he got to me. kapturowski
I have one pack with 4 x Lascannon and one pack with 4 x Missile Launcher. In 2000pts+ lists I also run Logan and attach him to the Lascannon Fangs. It's great being able to put some str10 shots down the lane and being able to penetrate AV14 without getting into Melta range. Wildfire
The thing is, vs. AV14 I'd rather use suicide melta than a lascannon. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/218529-your-long-fangs/page/2/#findComment-2609273 Share on other sites
kapturowski
Sure, the Meltaguns have a higher chance of penetrating if you're within 6", but the Lascannons can most likely reach your enemy from turn one.
