Warsmith Hephaston
We'll see how far long I continue updating this, but here we go. First up is my stand in for Abaddon. Since the current Chaos 'dex is so bad this guy seems like a no-brainer to take in place of the standard Chaos Lord. The model was converted by adding GS between his chest plate and groin, he was given spacers and GS on the sides of his chest, knees and bottoms of his feet. I used guitar wire for his servo-tendrils with Oblit. chain-blades and bolt pistols on the lower arms and a basic servo-arm claw for one end and a BFG bit for the other. His hammer was made using two old WHFB Chaos Warrior hammers with the blades ends from the new CW hammers on the ends with slightly larger spacers between. The addition of the bolt pistols was a last minute thing to get him to be a proxy for Abaddon. I had this guy modeled up for the last codex and am only now getting back into 40k so he need something to WYSIWYG him to Abby's wargear. http://img816.imageshack.us/img816/5977/hephastontda01.jpg http://img717.imageshack.us/img717/564/hephastontda02.jpg http://img821.imageshack.us/img821/6391/hephastontda03.jpg http://img440.imageshack.us/img440/6808/hephastontda04.jpg http://img696.imageshack.us/img696/9967/hephastontda05.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/218545-iron-warriors-113th-forge-fathers/ Share on other sites
Warsmith Hephaston
Also here are the first WIP shots of my "Iron Mongers". I used the "DogHouse Marines" as a basis for these marines and added additional GS and detail to increase the waist section, and Dan the Daemon's bolter design. I will be using the "Iron Mongers" as T-sons in the army. Basically they are Marines with modded armor and special armor piercing ammo. The squads will be lead by a "Tech Adapt" that is armed with extra "equipment" and keeps the the squad's armor energized. http://img23.imageshack.us/img23/6996/ghmarinewip01.jpg http://img638.imageshack.us/img638/2840/ghmarinewip02.jpg http://img832.imageshack.us/img832/6880/ghmarinewip04.jpg And one for size comparison. http://img816.imageshack.us/img816/7137/ghmarinewipsizecomparis.jpg Here are some of the other WIP bodies. http://img824.imageshack.us/img824/7679/ghmarinebodieswip01.jpg http://img253.imageshack.us/img253/3148/ghmarinbodieswip02.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/218545-iron-warriors-113th-forge-fathers/#findComment-2605959 Share on other sites
Terminatorinhell
Nice work I sometimes use doghouse's methods too and a few of my loyalists have guns like that! AlanofAngels
I love the hammer on your warsmith/ abby proxy. I also like Dan's convy bolters; also laziness has bested me from giving some of my guys a few.
