Coverfire
I am getting a bit bored of the standard missions and have been looking for something a bit more interesting, I thought I would ask people to post some of their favourite missions and just see what custom flavours players have created over the years. Marshal Wilhelm
I got the Battle Missions book which has been quite entertaining... How even have you found the missions? Are they as balanced as the three BBB ones, or is each mission favouring of the attacker/defender/or certain kind of army? We have the book, because pictures are nice :P but we haven't played them yet. The 'Missions' from the Battle Missions book were more like Historical reenactments (but in a galaxy far far away) and are in no way balanced enough for every day use as Marshal Wilhelm points out. I liked Valerian's link, the double blind mission objectives giving an interesting aspect which appeals to me and the Dawn of the DEAD mission would be quite interesting if I had 200 odd zombies lying around. I don't have the Planet Strike book, I might have to look into it perhaps. I liked Valerian's link, the double blind mission objectives giving an interesting aspect which appeals to me. I'm glad that you are intrigued. Those were actually produced by GW and included in an old White Dwarf, back in early 4th Edition IIRC. I just cleaned them up and updated them for 5th Edition when the new rules came out and changed how some things worked. I've played those ROE missions several times and it was always great fun. I always thought it a little odd that in the standard missions in the BRB, both sides are always trying to accomplish the same thing. Oh, and in case you have trouble finding it, the Preliminary Bombardment rules (one of the ROE mission special rules) can be found on page 258 of the BRB.
