Taz
unofficial update, Libby's going well. Got the metals done and I'm on my last coats of blue. After that it's just the reds to do and detail work. At this rate I'll probably be able to expand my vow before the end of February. I'd add pics but again I has no good camera. :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/218589-the-librarium-painting-challenge/page/3/#findComment-2637305 Share on other sites
The Yncarne
Done. Not the best photos so I may reshoot them, but I wanted proof they were done (completed a week ago actually). I, The Red Worm of the Piranhas (Blood Angels subforum), vow on the honour of my Chapter to paint and present at least one Librarian and one Furioso dreadnought on or before the 31st of March, 2011. I promise to provide at least two WIP updates, preferably with pictures, in that time. I vow that if I should fail, I will provide the Librarium with an article and wear the Signature of Shame until my penitence period is done. Edit: January 13, 2011 Librarian Assembled January 8, 2011 Furioso Assembled January 8, 2011 Librarian Paint WiP January 12, 2011 Furioso Paint WiP January 12, 2011 Edit: January 30, 2011 Vow finished (at the judge's will) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/218589-the-librarium-painting-challenge/page/3/#findComment-2638339 Share on other sites

Sigismund Himself
Below is the list of the scions of Sanguinius that have had the nobility and bravery to take up vows: JamesI Bradley Powers vharing Psyko Myke shan vener Cleon grazer pate Seva igotsmeakabob!! However, the Liber Astartes is only a mere 5 vows behind so a few more vows would leave a much more comfortable gap... It only takes one model to enter ;) And remember, the vows have to be completed in order to count in the end! Also, a small number of participation prizes have been added as announced here. These will be given out in the following way: One card to the person with the fanciest/funniest vow (please just leave your name, the subforum you're vowing for and the amount of models clear or in bold if you go for this) One each to three people with the biggest completed vows One each to eight randomly drawn people who have managed to complete their vows One each to the first three people who get a Librarium article in after failing So why haven't you entered yet? ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/218589-the-librarium-painting-challenge/page/3/#findComment-2640933 Share on other sites
JamesI
Hopefully not against my better judgment, I've added a Vindicator to my vow. I've made basically no progress since my last update (other than mostly finished gluing the Vindicator together). How is everyone else doing on their vows? And well done to Grizzly Adams and The Red Worm for already finishing. t0mmi3
Since im well on track (got my marines done, almost got my chaplain done.) and I feel comfortable finishing my DC this week, I'm probably going to increase the size of my vow. At the moment its: 10 Tac marines + Rhino 9 DC + 1 Chaplain in power Armour 1 DC Dread I've finished a Terminator Chaplain, so I might aswell add that. Should be able to finish a DC Rhino and 5 Terminators before the end of March... so Im increasing the size of my vow. see if I can qualify for one of those big ass vow cards :) So Increase with: 1 Terminator Chaplain 5 Terminators 1 Death Company Rhino New vow: I, t0mmi3 of the Blood Angels, vow on the honour of my Chapter to paint and present at least 1 10 man Tactical Squad with Rhino, 9 Death Company, 1 Death Company Dreadnaught, 1 DC Rhino, 5 Assault Terminators and 1 Chaplain on foot on or before the 31st of March, 2011. I promise to provide at least two WIP updates, preferably with pictures, in that time. I vow that if I should fail, I will provide the Librarium with an article and wear the Signature of Shame until my penitence period is done. JamesI
I got some more work done tonight, building the Vindicator and getting more paint onto the Librarian Dread (the main body, very little work done on the arms). I was also doing some work on some other figures, mainly some touch ups on some DC and a Vet sergeant, so not as much time on the dread as I should have done. I'll try to get more pics up soon, but I'd like to get some paint on the Vindi and a bit more work on the dread before I do update #2. Red Fury
I haven't painted in over two months...until last night. I just about finished up a priest I was working on back in November, little things kept getting in the way, like getting married :) But I'm in! I don't know what to vow yet, my Raven and Dread haven't shown up yet so I guess I'll have to take inventory on what I have on hand and choose something to vow. I have a 10 man RAS already assembled and primed red, and a bunch more (at least 10) RAS with out JPs that are not assembled yet. I think my Sang Guard are too far along to be entered into the competitions so... I'll check and get back to you guys. Last day to vow is Feb. 5th. Grizzly Adams
Grizzly I love your dreads missile launcher arm. It Looks more balanced Then the original. thats what happens when you build a list for a tourney and the night before figure out that you dont have enough dreadnought ML arms. So a raid through the bits box and that is what i came up with :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/218589-the-librarium-painting-challenge/page/3/#findComment-2643090 Share on other sites

Plague Angel
I've tried every setting on the camera and still don't seem able to take pictures of single minis worth a damn. So for now, here's another shot of the table, as it currently is. http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o215/Animus_Seed/IMAG0125.jpg The libby made it in to this one, and the Termies are actually starting to look red instead of orange! Also, who's that coming up near the front, behind Ventrue? Why, it seems that when he heard that there will be extra Blood Talon parts arriving at my house in the next few days, a primed black Dread chassis I wasn't sure what to do with snuck onto my table, and somehow ended up with red X markings.
