Vaaish
Crons are one of the most broken fleets to play against. The basics are shoot WB first and see if they brace. If they fail shoot lances at the target, if they succeed fire your lances at a different target (this only works if you have WB and lances on the same ship). Ignore tombships. Keep track of VP. You get loads more when you kill a ship or squadron than they get from you. If you know you have enough VP to win just disengage. Dark Apostle Lorenzo
Another thing you can do is have Chaos Marines or Space Marines (I assume the SM's have the same or similar rules) and do hit and runs. CSMs get plus one to the result of the hit and run so they never fail to inflict damage. Upgrade the CSMs to Khorne Beserkers and that is plus 1 more for a total of plus 2 to the roll. In my experience the majority of crons fleets are made up of escorts. An attack by HnR with CSMs destroys it right there. Crons are one of the most broken fleets to play against. Vaaish
Consider yourself fortunate. Most competitive cron fleets ignore escorts and shrouds while stocking up on scythes and tombships. Boarding and AB are good as marines since crons don't have ordnance of their own. It'll be toned down quite a bit when the 2010FAQ goes up but for now take what you can get. Drahazar
Where are the Grey Knight ship rules or race rules at. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/218765-bfg-takeing-on-necrons/#findComment-2608750 Share on other sites
Vaaish
There are no official rules. The GK SC has the same rules and stats as a normal Marine SC. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/218765-bfg-takeing-on-necrons/#findComment-2608778 Share on other sites

Vaaish
You would be better without the terminators and taking one more hunter or converting the hunters to gladius. Drahazar
Why no termies and why a gladius? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/218765-bfg-takeing-on-necrons/#findComment-2609623 Share on other sites
Vaaish
Right now termies are a one shot per game thing with Marines which means you pay 50 points for the ability to get two criticals which really isn't all that great since you will have thunderhawks for hit and run as well as regular teleport attacks. In effect you pay 50 points for one extra dice once per game. I just said gladius since they have direct fire weapons rather than torpedoes and if you drop the terminators I think they will fill the points better than taking hunters. Drahazar
good Idea on the termies I was thinking hunters cause I can use Boarding torpedos or are those not any good? Vaaish
Boarding torpedoes are decent because of the ability to turn, but in general won't do too much since you still have to beat their armor value to roll so it would probably be better to just launch regular torpedoes since you actually cause damage when you hit. I suggested gladius since the extra 50 points from dropping the termies would leave you slightly closer to 1k exact if you took it and boost the battery strength a fair bit, but you could just take a 5th hunter or nova if you wanted too.
