I have had a few 500pts games with them where they did very well Mu ha ha haaa. I have been painting for many years but only recently started to play so realize there are some holes in my army still :P Hope you like Assault squad armed with a plasma pistol and flamer. The first two are the backbone of the army. I need to get some Rhinos for them. The squad has one heavy weapon too many as they were built in the 4th ed days. I want them to be from a feudal world where each company represents a noble house with their own coat of arms etc. As each company is supposed to represent a different noble house on their home planet, I imagined each captain having a unique set of armour depending on a colour. For instance 'Sir (something) the Black' or 'Sir (something) the Red'. It would be fun to develop a speciality for each house (assault, mechanised, stealth,etc) making the rivalry and politics on their own planet indecisive however, with their forces combined in the face of humanities enemy, they are strong in deed. On the table it means I could use a re-fluffed Calgar, Khan or Shrike depending on how I want to set up my army:) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Not much I can offer in the way of advice here, except for the red helmet on the chaplain kinda throws me off and doesn't 'feel' right. I am sort of thinking along the lines of. Their home planet is kind of futuristic medieval. There are giant red dragon like monsters that each marine has to fight and slay as part of their right of passage. The assault part of my army have red armour in connection with this and I thought the chaplains could have red skulls. I have a small update.
