Nian
Ahh no more daemonhunters, but Grey Knights instead. Sounds grim to me, no more allies, no more inquisitor and retinue, no more inquisitorial storm troopers, daemonhost or assassins. just GREY KNIGHTS. This could be bad people, this could be a homogenisation of the deamonhunter army to just a few different units, no flavour, just vanilla space marines with a little fluff and a different paint job. deadlift58
very happy about this, but one of my favorite parts of the 40k universe, the Inquisition, may be out of the tabletop. guess we will have to wait and see. either way, happy days for GK, just let me have my Inquisition...purging the masses and the such Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/219059-incoming-grey-knights/page/2/#findComment-2612871 Share on other sites
Inquisitor Fox
Most rumors include Inquisitors, Retinues, and Assassins as various options within the Codex. They're in the rumor collection topic in the News sub-forum located here I've a reason to want the Inquisition around still too myself :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/219059-incoming-grey-knights/page/2/#findComment-2612894 Share on other sites
kennedy
Boy, I haven`t posted in a long while, and have just been skimming the posts, but this news gives me reason to come back to the `ORDOS` forums more regularly. It is the spark I needed to continue working on my Grey Knights, and to go a little easier on the Blood Angels army I was starting on. YEEEEHAWWW !!!!!!!!! LardO'Blood
I hope these rumors of GKT troops are true...I refuse to proxy my Deathwing as Loganwing, but with these 2 wound FNP rumors... You never know. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/219059-incoming-grey-knights/page/2/#findComment-2612965 Share on other sites

Red Lost Soldier
Like the DE, our long awaited day in the sun is coming. We shall hopefully traverse the one (tournament) viable build side of the abyss into the realm of multiple variable builds and kick up our feet by the big boys. Perhaps we we take a seat at the table of the big power game boys. The future is bright. As a snide recongregator, I'll also say that change is good. Gentlemanloser
This could be bad people, this could be a homogenisation of the deamonhunter army to just a few different units Really? How can you homogenise the 3/4 units in the current DH Codex any further? This new codex will be nothing but good news. Gv0zD
Yay! As the new GK Dex is released, many power-players will move from my beloved BA to GK :) Seriously though, I'm glad you guys are getting this new dex. Judging by the existing rumors it will be quiet an improvement. And with new plastic models GK would be awesome. I can only wish you great patience for these 3 to 4 months until the dex gets released. Brace yourselves, brothers! :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/219059-incoming-grey-knights/page/2/#findComment-2613184 Share on other sites
WarriorFish
I think the response you're all looking for is: "thank the Emperor" :) I'm not even a DH player (the odd allying in doesn't count) and I'm pretty excited. Not just some love for the Inquisition but I can't wait to see how awesome the models look (and what I might be able to pilfer for my Marines) :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/219059-incoming-grey-knights/page/2/#findComment-2613210 Share on other sites
NovaScotius
I personally can't wait for the new Codex, and new models should be disgustingly good judging by what we've seen from the Blood Angels infantry. I hope they retain (or improve!) the diversity of the Inquisition units, as I don't want my five Inquisitor conversions to be made redundant by a new rule set! Also, am I the only one who suspects that the Sanguinary Guard models might have been a bit of a trial run for PAGK (esoteric Power Weapons and wrist-mounted Bolt weaponry) ? krewl
I feel that after a wait this long we are entitled to some content-less posts just repeating the fact that we are happy. @ the people fearing _only_ GK, there will be other units in de codex, but the main focus is on Grey Knigts. There will be : - Inquisitors with flexible retinue's - Assasins - Some sort of fodder unit - Storm Troopers. And who knows until pre-view codexes start floating around what else will be in there. Vortix
Well, if they come out with a plastic GKT squad with seperated heads, it will surely become a lot easier to make a Venerable Dreadnought that looks distinctly GK... I would be a happy camper. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/219059-incoming-grey-knights/page/2/#findComment-2613283 Share on other sites
Arithon
I am so happy this is happening. Having just built up my Grey Knights army last year, just really looking forward to doing more miniatures. On a side note seen this lately. What's more interesting is the Furioso sprue: http://i54.tinypic.com/2iw29uw.jpg Note that one of the close combat weapons looks very similar to a larger verision of the nemesis force weapon. I imagine that it is a possiblity that something like might be on the new GK dreadnought sprue? But anyway it can be used to convert the dread into GK one with nemesis. The Paladin
Hello all. Been lurking for a while and this official news has prompted me to finally post and share everyone's excitement...WOOOHOOOOO!!!! Been playing GK's for several years now and have built up a sizeable force (company strength plus vehicles) and I am so excited to see (and buy) the new plastic kits and models ;) Cheers! Malus Trux
A very cautious woo! I'm hoping that GW didn't screw up my first army. I am very curious to see if we're getting Grey Knights (+2 Str NFWs & Fearless) or Exorcists (power NFWs & ATWKNF) like some rumors & whether my pair of =][= will need new dregs. Either way I'm psyched. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/219059-incoming-grey-knights/page/2/#findComment-2613855 Share on other sites
FusionHS
Just wondering, would the new codex only replace the deamonhunters dex, or both that and the WH dex? cause i still like my allies... :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/219059-incoming-grey-knights/page/2/#findComment-2613977 Share on other sites

Plague Angel
Congratulations, Grey Knight players. I'm excited for you, and I hope your codex is as good as the recent Blood Angels one is. I can't wait to see your new plastics, especially because I know some of you will give them fantastic paintjobs and conversions. Can't wait! Have fun! Either way I'm psyched. Eh!?! Exorcists rumours with NFW's? I thought current rumours suggest that Grey Knights are switching from +2 Strength to PWs and Fearless to ATSKNF. As the Exorcists were quickly covered in C:SM I don''t expect to see them in this codex, as cool as it would be. From what we know, it is more likely they use more standardised equipment such as bolters, unless Cruddace has gone and changed that too. Malus Trux
There's been so many conflicting rumors of what exactly GKs will be its almost like a bunch of people decided to release fandexes hoping the "rumors" will reach GW & be considered for actual use. While I don't believe it to be true I wouldn't be surprised if it were. As for whether they all get PWs & ATWKNF this goes against logic for fighting demons. Unless a demon has Iron Hide, PWs are useless against them & the possibility of running in away goes against the back story of GKs unless they got combat tactics as well. This is of course pure speculation & off topic so I'm going to stop here but I could start a whole new thread & go on about this. To sum up my feelings the rumors of PWs & ATWKNF make it feel like this is a well equipped version of regular SMs & while I like SMs, GKs had a different feel to all the other SM variant codexes & I want that feeling preserved. We'll see what happens in the coming months, won't we. @Furyou Miko the first rumors of SoB indicate new models & a possible release either this year or next so don't worry, the Ordo Hereticus is getting their turn soonish.
