Till
Began painting some of the miniatures today, but none are worthy of a photo yet  I've been told about watering my paints before, and believe it or not I have worked on it and made it better since ;). You are right though, I need to keep working on it, gosh darn red and it being difficult to paint :P! I apologise for the poor quality pictures again, looking at them I see what you mean about the covering. It isn't actually like that in real-life, it's a more thin and glossy effect since it's blood. That's why I paint over it, the gore and blood leave spots and are coloured by the colours underneath. Malatox Oh, if its supposed to be dried and caked blood its looks great dude. I just wrongly assumed you were going for red colored armor. As far as the pic quality, its better than mine <_< .
Malatox
Well that's embarrassing since I was talking about the red on the weapon and at the mouth ^_^ Malatox

Malatox
Hey all, Been working on some test painting schemes for my Sanguinary Guard. Here's some photos of the test models (using different painting methods for both); http://i812.photobucket.com/albums/zz46/Roory123/2012-05-08140210.jpg And a close-up of the one I like better; http://i812.photobucket.com/albums/zz46/Roory123/2012-05-08140158.jpg Keep in mind these are very rushed and not finished, but I thought I'd update this a little bit. These will probably end up as statue objective-markers :). Comment and criticize! Malatox
Turel
I really dig both those test models, though agree with the one you prefer: It looks a bit brighter. How did you achieve the result? - Turel.
Malatox
Really, REALLY simply. I almost feel like I'm cheating haha. I started with a Mithril Silver base and then added coats of Gryphone Sepia to it, until I got the result you see. Obviously, I'm going to do some more testing with Highlights and adding more depth to the testers before trying it out much more carefully on the Sanguinary Guard. Stay tuned for more, Malatox
Malatox
Hey all (i.e. the imaginary people I make up that look at this thread). Here's an update on that WIP test model I was doing, how's it look to you guys? http://i812.photobucket.com/albums/zz46/Roory123/2012-05-13162523.jpg http://i812.photobucket.com/albums/zz46/Roory123/2012-05-13162552.jpg This guy was roughly and quickly done as I wanted to test out some of the new techniques. Oh, and here's a very WIP Assault Marine: http://i812.photobucket.com/albums/zz46/Roory123/2012-05-08200148.jpg C+C welcome as always, Malatox
