I think thats everyting, he had a strange list i know but hey.....

 

Terrain: a crashed shuttle lay spread over the battle fields centre and right side, a few ruined buildings were scattered across the table and a wood was to the central left.....

 

Capture & Control Pitched Battle

 

my opponent won roll off and chose to go second.......

one objective was in a building in my half while the Eldar had theirs on the cockpit of the crashed shuttle.

 

I deployed all my tanks in a line across the centre of the table at the very edge of my DZ: Vindicator, Las/plas, Rhino Las/plas, Vindicator, I chose to deploy one of the greyhunter packs on my objective, leaving one razor empty, the Longfangs took up position on a piece of the crashed shuttle and ther razor went on the far right, the scouts and drop pods in reserve my opponent left his WHOLE army in reserve and failed to sieze the initiative........

 

SW turn 1:

the drop pod containing the Dread crashed just forward of the woods. all the other tanks raced full speed ahead.

 

Eldar turn 1: nothing!!!

 

SW Turn 2: Ragnars drop pod smashes down on the left and his Grey Hunters set up in the woods.

all tanks rolled forward and poped smoke......

 

Eldar Turn 2: scorpians and one war walker rolled in on my left withing range of Ragnars pack, and one vyper turned up right of the eldar objective as did the wraithguard who deplpyed in the left side the Guardans arrived to claim their home objective.

in their shooting phase the vyper opened fire on the right vindicator, despite htting 4 times and scoring 3 penetrating hits (lucky side shot!) he could only stun the tank, the wraithguard fired on the dreadnought but were an inch out of range, the guardians destroyed the Twin/plasma on the loaded razor and the war walker fired on ragnars pack but they made their saves, my opponent forgot to shoot his scorpians and then charged ragnars pack killing 4 including the wolf Guard..... ragnar then killed five of them! his little wulven pet finished the scorpians off rolling a 6 for his attacks and rolling 4 rending hits and a fifth wound! the pack moved toward the razorback.

 

SW turn 3: the scouts turned up behing the guardians.

ragnar and hius squad mounted the Razorback and it moved off toward the enemy table edge, the other vehicles slowed to provide aid, and the Blood Claws diembarked ready to charge. with all those tanks blocking th way the LF had no los..... in the shooting phase the twin/las razor stunned the war walker (shaken thanks to spirit stones) both razors fired their guns at the vyper and thanks to its holo fields (and my oponent failing to inform me vypers were open topped) only stuned it, the vindicator fired on the Guardians killing seven of them the scouts killed two with their weapons thanks to some lucky cover saves, they passed their break test the scouts charged killing them all and moved onto the objective (more for protection than to contest)

 

Eldar turn 3: both Dire Avengers turned up going either side of the objective (aurmen on the left) another war walker and vyper turned up, the vyper going behind the first the War Walker deployed in my right corner. the mobile vyper moved flat out to get cover while the war walker prepared to charge the razor with ragnar in. the newly arrived vyper failed to harm the razorback with GH in as did the war walker who ignored the long fangs and shot the rear between them the dire avengers bladestormed the BC to death leaving a wounded rune priest alive who the farseer tried to mindwar but was obviously of a weak nature as the rune priest rolled higher the wraithguard finished the priest off the war walker charged the razor but missed it....

 

SW turn 4:

ragnars razor moved away from the walker, the razors moved forward as did the dreadnought and vindicators. in the shooting phase the razors targeted the new vyper (again not being told it was open affected my roll) and stunned (SHOOK!!) the vyper, the Long Fangs fired on the war walker with lascannons and the older vyper with Heavy Bolters, the Walker became a wreck and the bolters shook the vyper, the Vindicators opened whole in the Eldar lines, the first slayin 4 dire avengers from asurmens unit and 3 wraithguard, while the other killed 6 from the other squad who held the twinlas razor wrecked the other walker and the scouts charged the surving avengers 4 scouts were slain before they could land a blow and only the WG could claim back a single casualty the scouts held firm the dreadnought charged asurmen and his avengers, his attacks missed but the avengers could do nothing to hurt him....

 

Eldar turn 4: the banshees turned up ready to charge the scouts and walker turned up in my left corner while the vyper turned up behind the other one...... the farseer rolled 3 sixes on her psychic test to cast fortune, failed her ghosthelm and save suffering a wound. the first shaken vyper tank shocked my long fangs moving flat out, one of the lascannons shot it on the way passed and imoblised it (what a coicidence! it has vectored engines!) the other new the new one moved to where the other was previously, the wraithguard charged in the aid aurman, the warlocks spear taking off the power fist, in return 1 wraith guard was stepped on..... the banshees despite lots of hits left the WG alive who wounded the farseer and fled only to be run down.

 

SW turn 5: raganrs razor moved forward to disgourge the lord and his squad ready to aid the dreadnought if another turn was played, the razors caught up with the last vypers destroying one and (yup you gussed it!) shook the other! the Longfangs fired on the war walker in the corner and imobilised it a destoyed the only gun with sight to my GH holding my objective.... the vindicators wiped out the banshees and left the farsser with jus t an exarch! the warlock fluffed it as the drednought finished off the last wraithguard leaving the warlock alone.....

 

Eldar turn 5: the shook vyper rammed the vindicator but in spectacular fashion just blew up on the front of it.... in combat the warlock failed to do any harm before the dradnought killed him.....

 

SW turn 6: Ragnar moved to a better charge position, while the loaded razor finally dropped its unit off onto the eldar objective, they greyhunters together with both razors obliterated the farseer and the exarch....... (6 wounding plasma gun hits!) while in charged ragnar and his boys, asurmen killed four leaving ragnar nad the MotW hunter ragnar finished off the dire avengers (+5 attacks next turn) the wulven went crazy and scored four rending hits and 4 wounds on aurmen, all but one were saved!

 

Eldar turn 6: only asurmen stood on the table, both objectives stood in space wolf hands, unphased he launched an attack at ragnar htiing and wounding 4 times, (or not!) but ragnar passed his saves and set about the phoenix lord with 9 attacks woiund seven times asurmen failed all his 4+ saves and died spectacularly

 

so at the end of turn 6 no eldar were left and both objectives were in my hands!

 

Massacare to the sons of fenris!!!!
