Eurgh... Wheres the bin!? *vomits* <_<

Very nice ;D... Always a good sign when Death Guard make me sick!

It's a lovely model and you did it justice and a half :D! I love the weathering as well. Keep up the revolting (read: GREAT) work!

Thanks everyone! He is in fact part of a larger army. There are a few other threads around the forum for them, one for my demons and one for my marines but i will try and condense it all down to this thread sometime soon.

The banner was painted with a base of Dheneb Stone then given a very light wash of devlan mud, just enough to tint it. Then i went back over it with a mix of dheneb stone and rotting flesh (to tie it into the scheme of the dread) and then added more and more skull white for each highlight.

I wonder if ne one can guess how the green is painted? Ill give hints, i only used GW paints. There are 3 colors and one wash involved. 4 colors if you count the lines between the armor.

Those are just a select few of the minis in my army.

@vim_the_good: So close. You are missing one color and have an extra paint and both the washes are wrong. The wash is the hardest to guess. I kinda just stumbled across using it when the washes first came out.

Comments and crit welcome as always.

Thanks!

It is:

Basecoat of catachan plus chaos black, just enough so the green is darker

Layer on a mix of catachan and camo, probably about 50/50.

Mix in more camo for the first highlight, then pure camo for the second.

Third highlight is camo + rotting flesh

Then you wash the whole thing with ogryn flesh, i know its weird but thats what makes the green look that sickly color. Try and avoid letting it pool anywhere, you just want to tint the whole thing slightly.

One last highlight of pure rotting flesh in the most prominent areas.

Good work. That's the newer of the two Nurgle dreads. I have the original though I changed up the weapons. I got another GW dread to do up, it is hard to justify another Forgeworld Dread when I have two and three painted Nurgle dreads already...

Hoping you do some more, I'm working on some figs with the Deathguard upgrade parts right now, Nurgle Havocs.
