Seahawk
A Remora Drone Fighter has the stealth field generator, which makes you roll Night Fight to see it. Is this range additionally reduced by 12" because of the Flyer rule? I don't think so because I feel it only reduces weapon range, but wanted to check. JamesI
I would say no. you can see the flier, but your weapons may not reach it. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/219255-stealth-flyers/#findComment-2614851 Share on other sites
Brother Captain Ed
Umm...sorry if I sound ignorant, but what is the flier rule? I don't remember seeing it... Seahawk
It's for Apocalypse, so if you don't own those books it's understandable! That's what I figured James, just thought I'd get extra input. Grey Mage
Its in the FAQ Seahawks. Always check the FAQ :D. Brother Captain Ed- what hes talking about is that when using flyers theyre treated as being 12" farther away than their measurements would show, to represent being so far into the air and well... flying. That being said they do NOT stack. You measure to see if you can spot them, then you check to see if theyre in range. Q10 - How does the Remora’s stealth field generator work with itsadditional 12” for being a flyer? First roll to see if the Remora is in spotting distance as the rules state, without modifying the distance by the additional 12’’. Then see if the spotter’s weapon(s) are in range, adding 12” to the actual distance as usual for shooting at a flyer – essentially, you may be able to spot it, but not necessarily be able to shoot it. Brother Captain Ed
Thank you Seahawk and GM! I was afraid I'd missed something basic and was prepared to feel quite sheepish...
