new guy help apreciated

ok so im totaly new here on b&c seen a couple of post a few times i decided to register couse i need your help guys

posting this will seem like im asking to be burned for herecitc but i dont know nothing at all from w40k i just played the games loved and stuff

recently some buds of mine we have decided to make a power armor but ill like to make mine as close as posible to what would a real space marine would use plus as cool as posible

 

i dont usually post stuff on forums and plus i write bad english so excuse me for that ill try not to be that horrorific

 

anyways back in topic i was hoping if someone could point me out to some good references online or in here i will like to learn more about the armor codes and secrets of the faction couse ill like to give the impresion that if i do something atleast i know abit about it i like to call it research :lol:

 

im looling for reasons about why the armor are like they are how space marine choose to wear some stuff if it is for mare glamour XD or if it is and honor given like for example i seen a few models wearing some skulls in the kneecaps or wings in their jumpacks

 

to be honest im kinda intimidated by u guys couse you seem to know looots of stuff and im souch a ignorant

so basicly thats the idea i need help and references couse i wana make a power armor real life size and have it on display or wear it on special ocasions but i would like it to look awsome i have seen some diferent armor so far some rock and are a true master piece of crafmanship other seem like they took just about 5 mins to put togeter but still i admire how they make them

i dont think mine would be any diferent from the 5 mins duck tape and cardboard but still maybe look somehow dicent for the emperor to be proud to have a new space marine

 

another reason for this post is couse so far im only familiar whit the blood ravens i like them they are cool and stuff

but maybe ill prefer another chapter i dont know and i guess i could make my own but naah

Well, if you do some searching, you'll probably find several threads where people have shown off their own home-made life-size power armor.

As for why some Space marines have all that ornamentation, some of it is honorific, some of it is aesthetic. Most of the time though, Marines don't choose the decorations so much as inherit it, when they receive their armor. Ancient armor is passed on to the next marine, and so on.
