wos79
Hello, I know it might be a stupid question but I just wanted to check the rules. When disembarking from a rhino you can assault straight away? am i right? If so does the same rule apply for a razorback? Trying to decide whether to go with 10 man gh squad with 2 meltas/plasm guns? or 6 gh in razor w/hb and 1 meltagun/plasma gun? Also I am a little confused as to Long Fangs- i read somewhere that they dont travel in drop pods you just place them on the board and LF at the rear of table? Can someone clarify for me the transport rules for the LF in drop pods and rhinos/razor? all comments welcome!!!!! JamesI
If a transport moves, you can not get out of it and assault in the same turn. If you get out before the transport moves, then you can assault that turn. Exception for Land Raiders which have the assault vehicle rule. Long Fangs can ride in drop pods. Wolf Lord Mjolnir
Am I missing something here? I thought you cannot assault out of a vehicle at all unless: 1. it is open topped 2. it has assault vehicle rules ie assault ramps for Landraiders Never heard of being able to assault out of a vehicle than hasn't moved (unless of course it is open topped or assault vehicle). Sigmund Hammerhand
Yeah you're missing something. (can't give you a page reference) Have a look at the transports section of the rule book. It makes quite clear that, if a vehicle hasn't moved, you can get out, move (fleet if you can) and assault afterwards. Sarapham
If a vehicle has not moved you can indeed move out and assault from it regardless of it is assault vehicle or open topped.
