Veterans Question

Recommended Posts

New to WH40k and trying to make my first small battle force.

I currently have an Interrogator Chaplain, 10 man tactical squad and 7 Veterans Squad Members.

I know I have to have 1 HQ and 2 Troops to start my force, but my question is, Am I able attach some of the Veteran Members to my squads and end up having like 2 squads of 7 and 1 HQ?

If you're asking whether or not you can add your Veteran models to your tac squads, no you can't. However, with the models you mentioned, you do have a fully viable force right now, as far as the Force Organization Chart in the rulebook is concerned. Simply divide your ten-man tactical squad into two five-man tac squads, and presto, there are your two troop choices.
What's stopping those 7 veterans from being regular marines? If you just mean robed models then good news, robes don't always signify rank in the chapter.

Yeah, when you get 300 years old you just sometimes forget to take off your armour before wearing your off-duty robes. Hate it when that happens.

If they've only got bolters, you can use them as normal tactical marines, but not as veterans in a tactical squad.
