Starkhan Fellblade
What armor marks were used heresy and post heresy? Thanks, Seth Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/219656-heresy-era-wolves/ Share on other sites
Aeddon
IIRC MK IV armor was the latest edition to come out around the heresy. I recently read "The Flight of the Eisenstein which is where I'm getting this from. Fred Johnson the 3rd jr
I am pretty sure they used burlap sacks back then. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/219656-heresy-era-wolves/#findComment-2620484 Share on other sites
Vassakov
The Mk IV was the most advanced at the time of the Heresy, with the Mk V being rolled out just as it kicked off and running throughout, arguably with inferior properties. Mk VI - the Corvus or "Beakie" Armour was coming in towards the end, and I believe the reason why the Raven Guard have a propensity of this is due to their almost total resupply post Istvaan V, and they've just stuck with it. Back on topic, looking at the Prospero Burns cover I'd say it's mostly Mk III and Mk IV, maybe with a bit of Mk V in there if the studs are anything to go by. Of course, the Wolves of M31 were still fairly barbaric, and so there's a lot of feral fetishes, totems and pelts in there as well. With some conversion work, a lot of the parts from the SW Pack could probably work well. Durfast Spiritwolf
There's a beaky on the front cover of Prospero as mentioned, but I've gone with earlier marks for my pre-Heresy project: http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/index.p...howtopic=219652 There are some Mk II and III in there, but mostly Mk IV. For WS, I just went with some earlier sculpts: and cherry picked from other ranges for figures in more advanced Heresy era marks: Regards, Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/219656-heresy-era-wolves/#findComment-2620571 Share on other sites
