daggitkiller
LONG time lurker and admirer of the work here. I sold all my other armies once I saw the new drop pod and I've been collecting and converting for going on three years. I've amassed an entire first and second company, now time to paint them and finish the story for the Storm Guard, a Raven Guard successor based off a kind of knights hospitaler idea, protecting imperial pilgrims and trade. Squad Mateus... http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l31/burundijay/SM004.jpg http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l31/burundijay/SM003.jpg http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l31/burundijay/SM013.jpg http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l31/burundijay/SM011.jpg http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l31/burundijay/SM009.jpg http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l31/burundijay/SM005.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/219724-storm-guard-diy/ Share on other sites

Firepower
Wicked. The doom-tube definitely is a show stealer, but the tiny bits of conversion like (Bretonnian?) shields with the symbol slapped al about is a nice, effective gimmick too. Painting is top notch. Now, on to your punishment for being the 20th person in recent memory to make white look easy  Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/219724-storm-guard-diy/#findComment-2621353 Share on other sites

The Normish
Beautiful! I'll add to the list of compliments about the missile-launcher and crisp painting. One question: How did you make the wing for the sergeant's shoulder? I've been trying various things for that effect but they don't work out so well. daggitkiller
Thanks for stopping by and commenting. The missile launcher is in fact the armorcast bit. You'll see all kinds of bits from GW and all the major bits companies throughout the army. I'll be posting more pics of my work in progress stuff, the entire army is now sprayed red (tamiya italian red) and washed twice with Baal Red and the bases are painted the foundation granite color. Just didn't want to play the apoc games that my friends are into without at least having red on them, now I can do the fun (and tough) stuff. The sgt's wing is I believe a high elf bit, maybe spearmen. I've been collecting all kinds of stuff for the past couple of years to kit them out. I hate that the game set marines are in there, but they were the test paint jobs that survived and well, for now painted is painted... Drop pod is next then I reward myself with the Caestus!
