Looking for some opinions related to the 5th Company

So I have been playing the Blood Angel's Fifth Company for about 12 years or so now. Needless to say my painting skills have improved a bit since I first painted it quickly to get it on the table asap. I am just about to get a new painting and converting area set up, so I am going to go thru and strip the 180+ minis and repaint them. Originally I had gone for a Death World themed company, lots of trophies on the assault squads and non standard close combat weapons. The new codex however lists them as the Demon Banes, signalling that within a Chapter that now apparently works much closer with the Grey Knights then other chapters this company goes above and beyond. This works out pretty good for me since one of my brothers has decided to play Grey Knights, leaving lots of reasons for us to team up, or run training ops and such.

Anyways, to the open question. Because there seems to be a very close association between the 5th company and the Grey Knights it would seem to make sense that like other military organizations certain badges and icons would be exchanged especially after particularly hard fighting or a brilliant victory. What I was thinking of doing was incorperating small amounts of Grey Knights Iconogarphy on vehicles within my force. Nothing large of garish, just maybe a few of the smaller brass etched icons from forgeworld painted nice and subdued put in descreet location locations on rhinos, razorbacks, and Land Raiders. A sword hanging over the rhino/razorback ramp, or a small I in an upper corner of the ramp. Like I said, little things, but enough to show a strong link to the Grey Knights as the Codex suggests. What do you guys think?

just to be a pain in the proverbial, but why is them being called the demon banes proof that they specifically work closer with the grey knights? Maybe they're called the db cos they kicked tail out of a horde one time- no definate gk relation there as far as i can recall. But back to question- a few gk symbols here or there, a few I symbols, plenty of purity scrolls etc... All good.

Well, the assumption is based on a couple of things. The codex refers to the Grey Knights working with Blood Angels task forces regularly. Outside of one incident involving Grey Knights and just the sanguinary guard they do not list who is participating. After that its mostly looking at the names. If the third company was the one who kept linking up they would likely be the ones called demonbanes. Its not exactly spelled out, but it seems to be a logical leap.

Anyways, started snowing here again which makes moving things a bit of a pain. I am going to start of the stripping process shortly. Once I have everything in I will put a pic up to give you an idea of the scope of this fool's mission. Maybe I can just magnatize the icons in case someone actually has an issue with it.

personally i dont see that as meaning it was them that helped the greyknights. but as they killed deamons, maby the greyknights though cool now we get a longer vacation, thanks have some symbols and stuff so that if it happens again it will be easier. also compare it to the ultra marines who have a company thats famous for killing nids. teir company banner has a stealer skull with a sword through it. My storm angles are 5th co and are also deamon banes. ive put a few severed deamon heads on some of the bases and if i ever get round to fighting deamons anyone who does particularly well will be getting more...and the banner will eventually be repainted akin to the ultras one(when im able to free hand well enough) also thoughts are to look at the ultras tryanic war vets for inspiration as to extras you may want to add...
