Here are pictures of my WIP Logan Grimnar.

He's the first of the wolves in my army to get painted, and more will hopefully follow over the next month or so. More and bigger pictures can be found on my blog (link in signature)

logan looks really good, can u show scale compared to other terminators?

I will try and get a picture of the entire army at some point, but he is about the same size as a standard terminator. Maybe a little bit smaller in girth.

I like the way you painted your wolf fur, I've been contemplating the grey look with that slight brown tone. May I ask what your steps in paint were for the fur.

For the wolf, it was primed white, and then I base coated it in skull white. I gave it a thin wash of devlan mud all over to darken up the shadows in the fur. I then drybrushed Reaper Dark Shadow (a dark brown) all over the upper part of the wolf. I drybrushed black onto the snout and a thin line down the back of the wolf. Finally, I did a light drybrush of white over the legs to brighten them up a bit and to soften up the transition from the dark brown to the white.

A similar process was used on Logan's cape, but I had started with a darker base.

Love the way you made the bridles on the Thunderwolves! I might have to copy if I can find the proper string..

You can take two/three/four lengths of thread (or floss - all depending on how thick you want it) and twist them with a *small* dab of elmers on your fingertip as you run it down the length.

*It doesn't take much glue, and too much will cost you the braided texture of the thread from the twisting.

Hey! Would you mind if I asked what material you used to create the stone slabs on the base of Logan and the Rune Priest?

Been looking to do something similar for all my HQ units to make them stand out more, and haven't decided on what material to use yet.

The string I used is pretty standard packaging string. It's made up of 3 smaller stings twisted together. I just cut a length and then untwisted the 3 strings to get a thinner piece. Once I figured out how I wanted them on the wolves, I coated the string with super glue to make it hard so I could easily paint it.

Hehe, the stone slabs are leftover tiles from the bathroom renovation I did a few years ago. I smacked them with a hammer to break them into smaller, irregular chunks, and then I took a pliers to snap of some of the corners to make them less square.

The ones I used happen to have a gloss finish to them, so the paint has a tendency to chip off. I did sand the tops to rough them up a bit, but I don't think I did it quite enough.

I've been a bit lazy with painting lately, but I got back to it over the weekend, and here are the results. My first Space Wolf Rhino is finished.

I'm not usually a big fan of painting tanks, but this one was pretty fun. I did the base coat using my new airbrush, but everything else was done by hand. I have 3 more Rhinos to finish, but I have no plans to use them in an army, so I don't know when they will get finished. Right now I am working on finishing up my second Thunderwolf rider, so I should have pictures of him up as soon as I get his base finished.

My WIP Long Fangs. I still need to pick out the details and highlights on most of these, but the general coloring is complete. If you want, there are individual pictures on Meandering the Dune Sea.
